How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Giana is a great host. The view is stunning and close to the most taste restaurants in tuscany. I highly recommend it! Will be back next year.

The pool was a bit chilly. If it was a few degrees warmer, we would have been in there everyday!

Everything was perfect
Fantastic apartment in a wonderful location. Absolutely everything there had been thought about and provided. Giada was amazing and made us feel so welcome. Wonderful cake by her Mum too! Unmissable place.

The pool was very chilly!
Great spacious and cool apartment in a perfect location for travelling around Tuscany. Giada was a friendly and helpful host, along with her family made us feel very welcome. The apartment was quiet and peaceful and we had a huge terrace we could enjoy, with beautiful views of rolling hills and vineyards. There are laundry facilities on site which was great as we were with our 10 month old. We had requested a cot for him too, which was a proper cot all set up for him when we arrived (I was expecting a fold out travel cot so this was a lovely surprise!) The air con is great but we only needed it a couple of times as the apartment stays nice and cool. There are a couple of nice restaurants in walking distance, as well as a small supermarket. Vineyards and other bigger towns with more restaurants, bars, gelato only a short drive away.

Absolutely nothing at all :)
Everything was perfect. My son and daughter and her boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. Facilities were perfect, everything was clean and the whole building was beautiful. Giada was so helpful and made the stay so easy and even helped with organising taxis during our stay. The little village of San Donato in Poggio was charming and warm. A perfect stay!

It was perfect! A beautiful studio apartment; delightful, comfortable and every need catered for. The garden, the pool and the location are memorable. As for the hosts, Giarda and her family, I cannot speak more highly. Problem solvers for needy travellers, even though this is NOT their job 🙏🙏🙏

Giada was such a lovely host, and the space was clean and grounds were spectacular with olive trees, fig trees, cherry trees, and flowers. San Donato was an adorable little village, and the bakery and grocery store were conveniently just a 5-min walk from the apartments. The space was so well equipped and our private garden was the perfect space to take lunch or read a book. When I left behind a personal belonging after we departed, Giada went above and beyond to mail it to me!

Nothing! It was all superb.
Our apartment was spacious and comfortable, with all of the staples we needed to enjoy a lovely few days. Giada met us to check us in and helped us get settled, and even made dinner reservations for us. This apartment is PERFECT if you're traveling with children. We have a toddler, and there was a large, fenced-in garden that she could run around in and explore-- in addition to the pool. The location is superb–walkable to the historic center of San Donato, a cafe, pharmacy, and a supermarket–and an easy drive to Florence, Siena, S. Gimignano, etc.

We would have liked a balcony with a view but we didn’t specifically ask for that when booking so we’ll know better next time .
It’s proximity to the beautiful village of San Danto with three lovely restaurants makes this the perfect location.

La Compagnia del Chianti is the perfect place to stay if you want to visit the Tuscany region. Very close to the highway between Florence and Siena, it allows you to get to any town or touristic destination really easily. Giada is a great host! She gave us tips to make the most of our stay and she was available for any issue that we might have. The room is perfect! Equipped with a kitchen and all things needed to cook. Also a beautiful terrace to enjoy the views of the Chianti area. There is a parking space right at the entrance outside and a great pool to use if the weather allows you (unfortunately we didn't have good weather for that). The village of San Donato is within a walking distance to go for a nice dinner. Also a small supermarket is within a walking distance if you need to do shopping.

Beautiful town and location. Easy access if you are exploring and a quaint town to relax in at night. Steps from 2 spectacular restaurants and a small grocery store, in the event you want to eat in. The host could not have been more accommodating

a beautiful spot in quiet San Donato, we were there for a wedding at Le Filigare so it worked very well. the pool was lovely and clean, rooms had everything you needed and beautiful, spacious decor. The owner was super attentive, we got there too early for check in and she didn’t make a fuss despite how busy she was. Shops and restaurants all within walking distance.
