How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

No lift, kitchen area could be a bit bigger or updated. No clean dishcloth or tea towel, may have been forgotten. A little dusty in some spots.
Excellent location, owner meet us and explained everything. Big enough space for 4 people.

Enzo was amazingly helpful! He met us at the top of the escalators and walked us to the apartment. He also gave us an overview of the town. The apartment was modern, very clean, the beds were comfortable, and it was spacious. The location is perfect, only a five minute walk through charming streets to the center of town. There is a laundromat right around the corner which is really clean and takes less than an hour to wash and dry. Perfect if you've been on the road for a while.

Not really a criticism, because it shows it in the pictures, but just as an FYI, the apartment we were in had slanted ceilings. We could not stand up straight in the bedrooms. The kids actually really liked that though.
Enzo picked us up from the train station and took us to the apartment, which we really appreciated. He gave us a tour and settled us in. Very easy. The apartment was neat - perfect for two kids and two adults, and the kids really liked the layout with the loft. The bathroom was clean. We appreciated the table and couch - felt very spacious. Loved the location, perfect for walking around Orvieto.

We loved the spacious apartment and the location in the center of old town Orvieto. It was so kind of the host to pick us up at the train station.

Beds were comfortable but the pillows were flatter than I’m use to but I still slept good.
Our host Enzo picking us up from the train station was a real bonus and much appreciated! The apartment met our needs and the location was great. It was steps away from great restaurants and a short walk to the duomo and museums. We also felt very safe. We had one issue with the hairdryer. I contacted Enzo and within 15 minutes he came to apartment and fixed the issue. On the day of our departure he picked us up and took us back to train station.

Excellent location, almost on the Piazza Republic. Walking distance from everything. Spacious 2 bedroom plus pull down sofa bed. Comfortable stay of 3 nights for 5 older women. Washing machine on ground floor available for use. Excellent communication with Enzo who was very helpful.

Location! Location! Location! 5 mins from main streets but just out of noise range! Washer & dishwasher, good fridge! Modern interior. Enzo is super accommodating host! Clever idea to provide lockers outside main entrance for luggage - 10:00 am checkout not an issue! Best of all - 25 yards from Pozzo di Etrusco restaurant & 15 more to Mezza Luna (best carbonara ever)!

at 12 at night, a neighbor hammered some nails into the wall (or repaired something), in any case, he was hammering or barely fixing something. We didn't get to tell the owner because we left early, anyway it wasn't his fault. If he sees what I've written here, he can tell his neighbor that hammering nails at night has more to do with lack of common sense. Anyway, it calmed down after 15 minutes :)))
Everything was perfect. Starting with the communication with the owner until the parking lot (covered and safe/ 12 me). the apartment was elegant, big, clean. Double room with private bathroom. children's room with private bathroom, living room. Two steps from the center. We warmly recommend:
