The apartment was very central and was very clean. The outdoor terrace was beautiful lovely for sitting out. Silvano was the nicest host and had stocked the apartment with everything you could need and more. He was always available to help in anyway he could to make our stay so enjoyable and answer any questions. I cannot recommend staying at Silvanos apartment enough. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Catania in the future 😊

nothing everything was perfect

We have spend in La Mansarda di Ninni two nights and they were the most amazing three days in our life. Everything beginning from the owner who picked us up from the airport, the accomodation, the features of the apartament and last but not the least the touch of the owner to everything we needed was amazing. We felt very well taken care of on every step. The apartment had everything we needed and a lot more, the breakfast was ready to eat, coffe was delicious, the beverages waited for us in the fridge, all complimentary. We have such warm memories about the stay and wanted to write only good things but cannot explain the generosity and kindly approach of the owner and lots of work given to apartment so we can feel very well welcomed and like at home. We would like to thank La Mansarda di Ninni that gave us such beautifull three days in our life that we never forget. We recommed the place from trully heart. All the best for the owner

This is a magnificent penthouse apartment in a quiet back street near the centre of Catania. Silvano's taste for decoration and attention to detail are truly remarkable. The place is very tastefully decorated, and it is also very well arranged. Good bathroom and living area, a very spacious. You have a little terrace to have a drink or breakfast too, and we were given a lot of breakfast and snack products, as well as local wines. Best of all though is Silvano's hospitality. He is helpful, enthusiastic, always available, and truly cares about your experience. Very highly recommended! Grazie Silvano!

Absolutely amazing location! The host was magnificent and very helpful. The property is clean and has every facility one could possibly need. It's close to some great central locations. When I visit Catania again I'll make sure to book my stay at La Mansarda di Ninni once more.

We loved everything!

It was an absolutely delightful stay! The appartment is outstanding, big enough for a family like ours (2 plus 1). Super comfortable double bed and sofa, kitchen annex and bathroom with everything You could possibly think of. Beautiful terrace we loved to have our Italian breakfasts at, decorated with wonderful paintings made by Silvano: the host and the artist. Mr Silvano is a great person, open, warm and caring. He made sure we had everything we needed and, even more, prepared goodbye gifts for us! That was so sweet and unexpected. We have never experienced such hospitality and for sure we will not forget our stay in Silvano's home!

Everything was just perfect 😊

Me and my friend had an amazing stay at the Mansarda di Ninni! The mansarda is so cozy, comfortable and so near by everything you need - city center, great restaurants, castle and shops, that there is nothing more that you can imagine you would need. On top of that our host Silvano was the best host ever - so kind, caring and nice. He took us from the airport and then gave us a drive back to the airport - special care from arrival to departure indeed. He was helping us with everything we needed on a daily basis - restaurant reservations, advice about locations we wanted to visit, etc. He prepared a fridge full of wine, beer and beverages and also yummy local red oranges and lemons. In the kitchen we had things that I do not even have at home, like a special knife for pizza! Oh, and that lovely unique terrace to enjoy your coffee and wine... I was in Catania before, but after staying at the Mansarda di Ninni, I can say that it changed the whole impression of the city and would definately return back to stay at Slivano's house! It has an amazing spirit and design! We highly recommend it!

All the reviews below are true, Silvano sets the highest level of hospitality (we salute you!) I spent four days in Catania and they were four days of undisturbed happiness. The location of Silvano's apartment was perfect. It was a 10-minute walk to the Piazza Duomo. As a lone traveller I felt very safe. There is an external door and then the main door into the apartment, both lock automatically when pulled closed. Silvano met me on arrival to hand over the keys and show me round his quirky loft apartment. There is a great size living / kitchen area. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything I could possibly need for my 3-night stay. Silvano's hospitality is above and beyond anything I've experienced when booking private properties. The fridge was stocked with water, fruit juice, fizzy juice, there were bottles of wine on a rack, a basket of breads, a cake stand filled with cakes, croissants etc and lots of teas and coffee. The air conditioning system was great and so easy to use. The bedroom is also a great size with a very large, comfy bed, lots of storage and extra blankets if required. The shower in the bathroom was very powerful. I had packed all my own toiletries, but I needn't have as there was a cabinet filled with everything you could possibly need. The terrace is a perfect size for enjoying a morning coffee or a glass of wine. It has lovely paintings on the walls which I believe have been done by Silvano. There are 2 TV's which I didn't have time to watch and excellent wi-fi. I really felt as if I was in a home away from home. Silvano messaged me during my stay to see if I needed anything and he also arranged a taxi for me back to the airport. He left a gift outside my door for me to take home as a reminder of my stay. My stay was just perfect and I would highly recommend this property and host.

This was my best booking experience so far! The loft is amazing, clean, in the center of Catania with a cute terrace. It has everything you need, including drinks and snacks. Silvano is the best host you will come across. He was there to welcome us and was always available to give advice/info regarding our stay in Catania. Our flight was leaving in the evening so he even let us stay at his guesthouse 'till late afternoon on our check-out day. Would definitely stay there again! Thank you for everything Silvano!

Silvano's apartment was nothing short of amazing. We felt welcomed and cared for the minute we met him and couldn't have asked for a better place to return to every night during our trip. The rooms are comfortable with a very authentic design, all the necessary amenities are there plus extra snacks and drinks, everything you might need in the city is reachable by foot, and if anything at all, Silvano is always one message away.

Everything has been perfect.

The appartment is not far from Piazza Duomo, may be 5-10 min walking, and around 20-30 min from the train station. The host sent us detailed instructions how to reach the place by public transport since we didn't have a car. There were drinks, coffee, tea, some staff for breakfast. We had a great communication with the host all the time. He also gave us recommendations for places to visit and so on. We have been provided with everything we needed for our stay, didn't miss anything. And... we felt as very special guests, received small gifts when we left the appartment. This place is a great choice! Will come back if we decide to visit again Sicily :)

The apartment and hospitality of the owner Silvano exceeded our expectations! The apartment is an extraordinary art object, which is interesting to examine in every detail and which is a very comfortable place to live in - the owner has provided all the necessary items for guests to the smallest details. The property is extremely clean, all equipment and utensils are new, bedding and towels are of good quality, the beds are very comfortable (including folding one!). There is always hot water (no problems for 4 guests). We had a coffee machine with high quality and delicious coffee. The host provided us with wine, juice, water, milk, cakes, various teas, as well as all the "little items" in the kitchen and bathroom (which are often not at hand when traveling) from oil and sugar - to gels, creams and shampoos. I worried that there was no stove, just a microwave. But it turned out for the better - we did not waste time on cooking. We bought a lot of delicious products in bakeries and supermarkets. Great location - minutes walking from the Duomo, the central Via Etnea, the market, the supermarket and bakeries. The apartment is preceded by a very clean hall. There were 3 adults and 1 child (5 years old) - despite my fears, we were perfectly accommodated in these apartments. The terrace, even in winter, is pleasant for drinking coffee if you get dressed. We felt very comfortable. Silvano took the service to a new level. We felt like his dear guests and the host was constantly ready to help us. He even drove us to the airport at 6 am. Silvano's attention made our vacation superb. Thank you Silvano!

Everything is perfect about this place! The host is amazing - we were surrounded with attention and care from the moment Silvano met us. The apartment is the cosiest and very clean place you can find in Catania. It's stylish and very beautiful, comfortable and with everything though out perfectly. Guests can find everything they might need in a trip to feel convenient and satisfied. The house is filled with lovely and comfortable furniture and household equipment. The location is wonderful, there are nice restaurants with reasonable prices near the apartment. Also, most of the places of interest are located within walking distance. We appreciated a lot Silvano's offer to deliver us to the airport early in the morning. He even made small presents for us in the end, but the best present was to get to know Silvano. I don't know if there is a better place to stay in the whole Sicily!
