Not the best sound proof; it was a bit noisy for us one night due to our neighbours and other people going in and out of their rooms in the night (we stayed in the rooms above the main villa/house).

Food was amazing and they kindly accommodate any kind of diet (gluten free/vegan). Beautiful nature around the villa, great place to relax. The beds are really comfortable and the aesthetics of the rooms/villa on point. I also really liked their in-house shop with local products.

I didn't like having to leave.

I love the location. So peaceful and serene. I love viewing the little hilltop towns nearby. I love all of the different outdoor sitting areas and the hammock chair hanging from the tree. The breakfast was beautiful and delicious. The apartment was so very cute and cozy. The fireplaces were so nice. The kitchenette was perfect and the closet space was nice. The wine and gathering space in the common area felt very comfortable with blankets, books and games. I wish we had rode the ebikes. I needed to sew a button and they even had a sewing kit for me! Every detail was just perfect. There is a market, cafe and pizza restaurant in town but you really never have to leave

Nothing, it was all wonderful!

Our stay at VIN Hotel was absolutely wonderful! Starri and his staff were so kind and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay. Upon arrival, guests receive a tour of the hotel and grounds... a perfect way to get to know the place and learn about unique features (e.g., their wine-on-tap machine!). The grounds are beautiful, offering a panoramic view of the mountains which can be enjoyed while lounging by the pool or practicing outdoor yoga. The interior itself is also beautiful, and my husband and I enjoyed the games, reading nooks, cozy fireplace, and relaxing music. The breakfast buffet includes everything you need (toast, pastries, yogurt, cereal, fruit, meats, cheeses, coffee, tea, juice), and kitchen staff are onsite to prepare individual plates of scrambled eggs or omelettes. Dinners were wonderful, and you get a sense that kitchen staff are very knowledgable about food. All dishes are super fresh and local... it was fun to watch staff outside during the day, picking fresh vegetables and herbs for dinner! During our stay, my husband and I visited the small town of Montieri as well as Massa Marittima and Sienna. A car is highly recommended if you're planning on staying at VIN. It allowed us to see a few sites, do some shopping, and try out several of the restaurants Starri recommended to us. That said, we were happy to return to VIN each time and simply enjoy its relaxing atmosphere. On our last day, we tried a pasta cooking class... this was a highlight for me! Highly recommend! After the busyness of Rome and Amalfi, VIN was the quite solitude my husband and I needed! Starri and his team have created a truly remarkable environment that honours the importance of simple, relaxed living. I hope to someday return!

Owner and staff are really friendly and helpful for everything, and you really have feeling that you’ve staying at home and not at hotel. “Lobby area” is really beautiful with nice views and the fireplace that gives you cozy feeling. Highly recommend!

In this establishment, the first thing you notice is the openness towards nature, firstly through the view but also through the products offered by the owner. The restaurant was extremely good. One of the chefs, French, explained to us where the products came from and allowed us to try out some experiments (it was delicious). Let's talk about the breakfast which was very generous. We could ask for hot dishes (scrambled egg, water benedict, etc.) everything was very good. The hospitality of the owner and the booking framework allowed us to have an excellent stay! The place is nestled on top of a mountain and gives us the impression of being totally isolated from the world. This establishment also has a lot of very nice structures, such as a splendid swimming pool, countless terraces, a well-stocked bar, a very nice fireplace area! This place is really very relaxing, perfect for Parisians!

It was a bit cold outside on our journey, and the only available way of heating the room was by air conditioner and that cause a bit of a dry air in the room but was not so big of an issue.

Gorgeous and serene location and picture perfect views across the beautiful property to the Tuscan valleys and hilltops. Weather was perfect while there and accommodation very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was lovely. And yes, like so many guests before us, we loved the convenience of the wine self serve machine! Only minor downside was we arrived as VIN was transitioning to low season so onsite snack options were limited. We enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of the place so much we couldn’t bring ourselves to leave the place and instead built up an appetite for the delicious and elegant dinner at the VIN restaurant on our second night. Thanks for a wonderful stay, Steffi and team.

I found the beds to be quite soft - too soft for my taste. The breakfast was great but would have appreciated a bit more variety. Still great and really minor. Would have loved a real cappuccino or espresso as they had the pods for your coffee. The value is good but maybe a bit overpriced for the stay.

The rooms were spacious. The staff were always friendly and willing to help. The grounds are large and give lots of options to explore. However, we arrived in mid-October and the landscape was quite dry. The interior of the lobby is beautifully decorated with a fireplace and lots of beautiful seating areas. The pool area is an excellent spot to lounge with stunning views. If you like having the freedom to get the wine and beers/snacks for yourself then this is a great place to kick back to feel like it's your own place.
