Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomGreat location for a first stop in Cagliari before onward travel. Our host was lovely, he and his wife were perfect hosts and we had a delicious breakfast. They recommended a delicious pizzeria around the corner which was delicious

United KingdomWe chose La Peonia partly for the garden. However, it was being renovated, so we weren't able to use it. It will be a great asset when the work is complete, though. The road outside was quite noisy. Antonello has installed glazing, shutters and heavy curtains to help with this but bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. (It didn't bother me.)
The accommodation was comfortable and exceptionally clean. The proprietors and staff were very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was a bonus. La Peonia is outside the city but the buses were very good and reasonably priced. There is a lovely cafe, Pasticceria Mariuccia, just down the road. It is well worth a visit.

CanadaThe B&B is located on a very busy street. On the plus side, the bus stops right outside the door but it is very noisy until late at night. Because of renovations, we did not have the chance to enjoy the outside terrace which will be very nice once construction is complete. Also, this neighbourhood, Pirri, is not charming. To find restaurants serving something other than pizza, taglieri or poke/sushi, you need to take that bus downtown.
Our hosts (Antonello, Vanna and Catherine) could not have been more gracious or helpful. Especially, they did their best to make breakfast interesting once they discovered we didn’t eat eggs.

United KingdomThere is nothing to dislike about the property. Although it was a little outside the old town, the bus stop was right outside the property and the bus (M) ran every 15 minutes and was very cheap.
Beautiful and authentic hotel with huge bedrooms and en suite bathrooms that were immaculately clean. The breakfast spread was delicious with fresh local food with enough choice to satisfy the hungriest of guests! The owner Antonello (who spoke excellent English)and his wife were charming and the most helpful hosts I have had the pleasure of meeting. Antonello gave us a list of his favourite restaurants that proved to be superb, we even got special treatment when we mentioned that Antonello had sent us. He arranged for a taxi on our final morning to take us to the airport 15 minutes away. I can wholeheartedly recommend this property you will not be disappointed.

United KingdomThe host Antonello was a wealth of knowledge on the local area and beyond. He was kind enough to recommend restaurants, help plan our travels and called when we forgot items in the hotel. The hotel itself is a beautiful place, with original features and touches throughout. The shower was really good! Breakfast was a large spread of pastries, fruit, yoghurt and tea/coffee. We were asked if we wanted eggs but declined however the choice was there.

United StatesNothing comes to mind.
The breakfast was more than adequate. The hosts are very gracious and helpful, providing many helpful suggestions. Visitors without a car should be aware that the hotel is quite a way from downtown but is easily accessed by bus. I don't know if its possible but I would recommend trying to buy bus tickets at the airport if you are arriving during the afternoon as nothing is open locally to buy them. Taxis are plentiful but quite expensive.

Very beautiful accommodation owned by adorable people. Room was very nice, refurbished in the style of the old times but with the bathroom which would be suitable for any interior design magazine. Breakfast was very nice but above all, I loved warm and nice welcome.

GermanyUnfortunately the room was in the first floor to a really noisy street. Since it is an old building, isolation is quite inexistent and you can hear the cars and the buses all night long, even with closed windows. Not suitable for people with a light sleep. They have a small garden downstairs. Since it was really warm, we ask if it was possible to have breakfast outside, but they told us that breakfast only took place inside.. not very good in COVID times. There were various pastries and fruit for breakfast. It would have been great to have fresh bread (and not frozen buns) or self-made cake or marmalade as we had in other similar hotels.
The owner of the hotel was very friendly and gave us very good suggestions for beaches outside Cagliari. The room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was comfortable.

RomaniaThe location and the noise. I can't understand how this location got a Superb rating, having 2 of its 3 rooms with windows on the street, so all the noise from the street (and trust me, it is a busy street) doesn't let you sleep at night. The bus station is exactly in the front of the B&B and you can hear the bus stopping into the station every five minutes. The bus is very noisy, but you can also hear all the cars, motorcycles and people talking on the street. We tried to stay the whole 4 nights we reserved, but it was unbearable, so we left after 2 and after asking the owner for another room. They didn't offer to return the 2 unused nights, but I can understand that, since it was already paid (and Booking taking its commission on all the amount). The city center is 15 minutes away driving (maybe more by bus) or 1 hour walking. The area itself is not so nice. I wouldn't say it's a bad neighborhood, but it's not very welcoming either.
The owner is a nice old guy. He told us about Cagliari and what we can visit. Recommended some restaurants (we tested two of them and were nice).
