We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomI would have liked breakfast in the morning, although coffee was offered by host when machine was on. I would have liked a cosier sitting room to relax in and read, when too cold to be outside in the evening.
friendly host made me feel at home. Room good and garden great. good location as close to port to get to centre of Venice but quiet as away from the crowds. Also close to some very good restaurants and a few shops, bars etc. The room was fine for me and ensuite good.

ItalyThe staff was very kind, the bathroom was large, clean and just renewed. The room was clean, the bed was soft and the electric sockets were all functional and it was easy to recharge the phone.
There isn't any elevator, the room was on the second floor and the stairs are a bit narrow .If you have large baggages or some physical impairment it's better to verify with the hotel manager before the booking.

United KingdomThere was some issues with the room when we arrived but they were corrected fairly quickly by the lovely staff. The facilities were basic but satisfactory.
Location was very good, in a nice quiet street away from the main road and all the shops. Not too far a walk from the boat terminal and passed a supermarket on the way.

United KingdomThe room was perfect for our needs but could have been a little cleaner, there was a fair amount of dust under the bed. Really comfortable though and suited our needs perfectly. Staff were really helpful prior to the visit to provide us with directions on how to get there.

JapanWe arrived at the hotel at around 22:00 and we didn’t know how to open the gate so I tried contacting the host but he didn’t reply so we were stranded outside the gate for around 15 minutes! Then we pressed the buzzer at the gate a few times and once we were finally able to get in, we were given instructions but we had a little bit of trouble getting into our room so we wanted to ask the host but at the front desk, it said to contact him via WhatsApp and since we didnt have that app, we couldn’t contact him! Luckily someone staying at the hotel helped us! But other than that everything was good!
Good location! Closely the ferry station! The free breakfast was very delicious!

AustraliaThere is no lift in the property ,personally I don’t mind steps although I was at level 3 . I need to admit manager helped me with my luggage . make sure check what level your room is located. They change towels every 3 days!!also no fridge in the Room
5 minutes walk from public ferry station.very lovely, convenient island with nice cafes and restaurants and walking distance to beach also you can use bus to visit all around the island or you can use bicycle.

United KingdomI booked in error and didn't realise I would need to get a ferry to the hotel from Venice. This worked out for the best for us, but this needs to be better explained on the booking website.
Lido is gorgeous! And a much needed rest after the busy days in Venice. The ferry was quick and gave another view to the city.

CanadaThere was no way to place the room on do not disturb. We tried the button on the wall for this but it did not seem to work. They came and cleaned the room while we were away for the day which was nice, but we found it strange that they made the bed (which we already made) but didn't restock the toilet paper which was empty. Maybe just pay closer attention? But overall it was a great spot, cute hotel which had everything we needed.
Great location, easy to find and easy to access public transport. Close to many great restaurants and Gelato. Also walking distance to the beach. Place was pretty clean. Had a fridge and they provided to kettle upon request so we could prepare food and a bottle for the baby. They also provided a great little bedside bassinet which was helpful.

MoroccoThe bed was a tiny bit hard for me but that is personal preference.
The host was exceptional. There was a lot of communication from the host giving me information on his property, how to get there, transportation, maps, Venice itself. I felt very comfortable and confident knowing how to reach my destination and that someone was waiting for me to safely arrive. I liked the room. The room was well equipped and very clean. It had a lovely balcony overlooking the garden, it had plenty of storage including a lock box for valuables. The room was bright and comfortable. The location is beautiful and easily accessible even though it is off the main island. You need to take a boat taxi to get there but this is reflective of the price of your accommodation. I arrived quite late at night and was still able to access transportation and the property. I felt completely safe. It was a lovely journey.
