The staff, in particular Salvatore, was absolutely amazing. We arrived after an unexpected night in hospital with my daughter and Salvatore went out of his way to make us comfortable, offering my daughter free drinks and snacks, room service without extra charge etc, and helping us organize transport back to Catania in the morning. He really went above and beyond in looking after us, thank you! The hotel is in a beautiful location right on Isola Bella beach with amazing views from the bungalows and restaurants. Would definitely recommend!

Of the 3 nights we stayed there, there was a wedding reception right outside our room on 2 of them, we should have been told about this when booking. The noise was so loud that we couldn't relax or read books. We were hoping this would have been one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily instead we felt la Plage prioritised the wedding guests over their paying quests.

Absolutely nothing. It could not have been better!

This is an outstanding hotel. From the moment we entered it was perfection. You come through a small tunnel and the front desk staff is waiting to greet you personally. You are offered a drink and the check in was a breeze. We stayed in room 206 which was a bungalow. It was perfectly clean and so comfortable. The room is gorgeous. The room staff came several times per day and there were always clean towels. At this resort you are guaranteed a lounge bed with a thick pillow no matter what time you arrive to the beach. The beach is pebble and they even have shoes for you. The beach lifeguard/staff were amazing. The beach bar is right there. There are quick lunch items that they will bring to your lounge chair or you can go to the lunch tables overlooking the sea. The mussels were outstanding and the Cesar salad with chicken amazing. The beach is directly next to Isola Bella. Could not be a better location. Breakfast is fantastic with so many choices and outstanding service. We also dined at Fusion for dinner with was beyond amazing. The serve and food was perfection. If you want the beach location, it’s just short drive up the hill by taxi or a quick walk to the lift. This hotel is a must stay! Plenty of parking and just amazing 5 star service. You cannot go wrong here. BRAVO to the staff at La Plage!

The "Bungalow" was big enough - but not as large as I expected. The beach is stony (not much anyone can do about that). The weather was a little disappointing. And that caused the beach to be much reduced by the waves. It also caused the cable car to be suspended (excuse the pun) because of the wind (although a replacement bus was put on).

Location, Location, Location - the view of Isola Bella whilst on the Beach (or in the bungalow looking out) is exceptional. Equally exceptional - the food in the restaurant (although quite pricey). Staff were all friendly and professional. The hotel is away from the town centre making it quieter but there is a cable car to the centre 10 minutes (uphill!) away.

Rooms are too small , breakfast buffet is limited , furniture and decoration are simple and old fashion , coffee machine and iron aren’t available in the room , the sun-beds at the beach very close to each other .

The beach is a all stone and rocks, which some people may not like. I personally enjoyed it because it is cleaner and the water is amazing. Food and drinks are overpriced for the quality, but I guess you'd expect it from a luxury hotel.

Great facilities with all the luxuries you'd expect from a 5 star location. Breakfast had all the conceivable food options available. Excellent rocky beach with amazing clear water, and bungalows are all within 50 meters of it. Taormina is a lovely town, probably best in all of Sicily. Note that it takes at least half an hour to get there, as you have to take either the cable car or the bus.

We stayed in the beach villas which were comfortable but smaller than expected.

The staff were second to none. We were in a real pickle when our flights got cancelled due to a fire at the airport. They did everything they could make a really stressful situation easier for us and luckily we managed to get home the next day.

One small niggle, Aircon in our room was a little noisy for me as I'm a light sleeper, and couldn't find a way to turn it off. I could of asked the staff and sure they would have sorted it. My wife's fine she could sleep through anything.

Location was just perfect, waking up to that view. Being able to go straight in the sea was nice too. We had a beach bungalow with a hot tub, so in the evenings or morning you could sit in the tub and take it all in, hearing just the waves crashing on the beach. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great We will definitely be coming back

probably the most expensive room I’ve ever stayed by square meter…very small and very tired looking with inadequate facilities…not even free bottle of water for 900 euros per night ?

The room and bathroom are very very small. It did not meet my expectations for the price we were paying (511 euro per night). In addition, it was raining, but the entire room was damp. The garden view was just the pebbled entry to the room. There was no view.

Location was very nice. Right on the beach in front of Isola Bella and across the road from the steps to Taormina. Breakfast was generous with a lot of variety.

Large rocks on the beach that you have to gingerly walk on but that’s Mother Nature and part of the charm and absolutely nothing to do with La Plage.

From the moment we booked, the staff at La Plage connected with us via email to open lines of communication. In some cases, when making reservations through booking.com, hotels and resorts can give that clientele less than stellar amenities. Not La Plage. Everyone is given excellent service and is treated as the most important guest. We arrived by overnight train very early in the morning. The team was expecting us. They escorted us to breakfast and began working to make sure our rooms could be ready quickly. Dining, every meal, every restaurant, delicious and service outstanding! The beach and beach side service, outstanding! Only one resort in the entire World can boast it resides directly across from the iconic Isola Bella and that’s La Plage, yet they are humble and very kind to all public visitors who come to see the island. What a prime location! The spa, also amazing! We had a couples massage, we both thought it was delightful and relaxing, and much needed. Everyone was so accommodating, and all the services we can expect from a 5-star hotel are present. Just a quick taxi ride away from Taormina center and about 500 steps from a tiny neighborhood village with restaurants and small shops. I really can’t say enough about the great vibe of this resort! It’s a must if you’re visiting Taormina. It gives you the chance to be in Taormina, but also be on the beach. Everything we asked of them, they accommodated. It’s in a fabulous location, on the beach overlooking Isola Bella. The steps up to Taormina start right outside the hotel. Breakfast was excellent and although we didn’t have dinner at the hotel, there are plenty of very good restaurants nearby. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. We were very unlucky with the weather during our stay… very little sun and plenty of rain. not sure how common that is in early May but the hotel helped us make the best of it. Highly recommended.

The only thing that we would potentially change would be tea and coffee facilities in the bungalows.

The views were amazing, the rooms were amazing and the restaurants were amazing! All the staff gave over 100% attention to the guest and really cared that we were having a good time. The cleaning staff were constantly ensuring the rooms were to a high standard, even visited twice a day to make sure we had enough towels and clean room for before bed time. One of the reception staff came running to us with an umbrella to keep us dry when it was raining and we were walking to reception for a taxi. You can not fault any of the staff, the food or accommodation.

This is an amazing hotel with gorgeous views of Isola Bella. The rooms overlooking the water are large and the staff are outstanding, nothing was too much trouble. They answered our requests via Whatts App immediately. Food in the restaurant next level! LOVE

Ok, so the whole experience was absolutely fantastic. From breakfast though the day and in the evening. The staff was superb, the beach was beautiful and the location could not have been better. Oh, bring your water shoes as the beach is composed of large pebbles that, while round with wear, hurt like heck! We left spoiled beyond belief. Go there, extend your stay, like we did, you will find it well worth it! Special shout out to Roberta and the staff, you people ROCK!!!
