How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location meant that a bus had to be taken to Stresa, only a 3 mins journey & 2.40 euros but it was hourly & the last bus was 6.30pm. (the main road did not have a pavement so would have been too dangerous to walk along).. To return in the evening, a taxi had to be taken & this was not always easy to fine.
Lovely staff, very helpful - the owner even drove us to the station when the taxi failed to appear. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. View was good as we were fortunate not to have a room overlooking the main road.

It is quite a distance from town and it's not safe to walk to it because a large stretch of road did not have walkways. Took us by surprise. Taxi cost €20 from Stresa.
Very nice staff, very helpful. Alex made reservations at a restaurant in Stresa for us, and showed us where to take the bus. The room has a nice balconi with view of the lake. Breakfast was very good, with lots of choices.

That I had to kneel on the floor to be able to operate the safe at the bottom of the armoire, and the very small bathroom with NO counter space at all around the sink just a large drawer right under it
Great View, clean, very friendly staff who carried our luggage, private parking, large room, fabulous breakfast, very nice and attentive Owner, large comfortable bed.

No lift had 2 big suitcases.
Good views and easy parking. Lovely breakfast and staff friendly Alex very helpful. Had lovely outside space but we had rain which was a shame.

No fridge, however when we asked for ice cube was not problem.
A view to die for and lovely hosts Manuella and Alex. Nothing to hard good old fashion service. Breakfast was fantastic.

The bed in our room was not so comfortable.
The breakfast offered at this property was absolutely amazing! A lot of fresh options to chose from! Also, a great shoutout to the staff who made sure that we had an amazing stay and the best recommendations.

Exceptional hospitality, staff is super-friendly and welcoming. We got a room with a huge private terrace with the view of the lake, absolutely stunning. It was clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast was delicious, I wish I had a spare stomach so I could fit more of the food! Fresh pastries, fresh fruit, cold cuts and cheese, what a feast! They have their own little beach on the lake, which unfortunately we didn't have enough time to enjoy. My only regret is that we planned on spending just one night in this hotel, I could've easily stayed for a few more! A rare gem, highly recommended.

We could not have an ensuite bedroom but the private bathroom was convenient and worked well. Buffet breakfast was fabulous and staff were excellent and very helpful and informative. There is no on-site restaurant any more but chef has a restaurant on Isola Pescatori with shared private boat transfer. A very nice unique experience. Private beach and swim area in lake was great and twice daily swims made for an enjoyable stay. Highly recommended for the price.

No elevator-- we were on second floor. Description should include that, although our bags were taken up and down by staff.
Breakfast was wonderful, with everything from meats to croissants to cheeses. Room was very clean, with roomy balcony with table and chairs and a great view. Staff was personable, friendly and helpful all the time.

Loved the friendly staff, the wonderful view from the balcony, the amazing breakfasts and the very comfortable bed. Parking was very accessible too and having a swim in the lake right in front of the hotel was fun.

It was all good.
The staff were wonderful, they were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. Our second visit and we will be going back.

The hotel is located right next to an important road, without sidewalks. The parking lot and the beach are on the opposite side of the road.
We stayed one night, still we felt excellent. On the shore of Lake Magiore, the hotel has a parking lot and a small terrace, set up on its own beach where we could enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. And the sunrise the next morning was an experience in itself. The room and the bathroom were ok, the staff kind and friendly. The exceptional breakfast, including fresh fruit and homemade cakes, is served on the restaurant's terrace overlooking the lake.
