Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. United Kingdomlovely little hotel in the centre of the town. It feels like you’re an honoured guest in someone’s house - the lady was very smiley, and so so nice. Retro decor and relatively basic rooms, but clean, comfortable and within walking distance to some lovely bars and restaurants.

United StatesI have no problem with children, but I’m shocked that parents would book this B&B with children. The B&B was smaller than expected and the area in which people eat was right outside our room. At 8am, we were awaken by crying children and loud talking. It went on for awhile because they were having their breakfast at that time. Our first night was great and morning, but second night being awaken in the morning, I would not like to repeat. Only other “complaint” would be that the bed is made up of two individual beds and they would frequently come apart making it very uncomfortable to lay next to one another in the middle. Mattress quality can definitely be improved. I think this place is great for a one-night stay, but beyond that I wouldn’t recommend.
We loved the location and view. It was so close to everything and the location couldn’t be more wonderful for going to the national park. Staff was nice. We were able to use some space in the kitchen fridge for our items since there wasn’t one in the room. The balcony view was definitely our highlight. We got dinner takeaway one night and had dinner on there. Bathroom is small, but fine for us. If someone is a taller or bigger person they would likely struggle to shower.

GermanyLoved the view towards the gorge from the bed! Close to everything in Civita and quiet location in a dead end road. It felt like staying at your grandma‘s place - in a good way: super cozy, clean and comfortable with a family atmosphere and breakfast. We would certainly stay here again.
