Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI recently had the pleasure of staying at a remarkable place in Vietri sul Mare, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations in every possible way. From the moment we arrived, the hosts were exceptionally welcoming, providing us with comprehensive information about the best places to visit, convenient means of transfer, and the finest local eateries. Their hospitality set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The place itself is nothing short of magical. I had high hopes when I booked it on http://Booking.com, but the reality was truly out of this world. The grounds are meticulously maintained, creating a beautiful and serene environment that is simply breathtaking. The scenery is unparalleled, offering stunning views that make you feel like you're in a dream. During our stay, we thoroughly enjoyed using the common room, where we spent quality time playing board games and especially foosball. One rainy day, as we returned to our apartment, the host went above and beyond by running out to meet us with umbrellas. This thoughtful gesture perfectly encapsulates the level of care and attention they provide to their guests. We were also extremely fortunate as the host offered to give our family a lift to the train station on our departure day, ensuring a smooth journey home with our children. This act of kindness made our departure hassle-free and was greatly appreciated. The security of the place was another highlight. I felt completely at ease allowing my children to explore the grounds with minimal supervision, knowing they were safe and secure. Each morning, we delighted in meeting the goats and listening to the chirping of various birds that are lovingly cared for on the property. And we can't forget the tortoises – they were a delightful surprise that added to the charm of the place. In summary, I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting the Amalfi Coast.

United KingdomI hate to be critical of this amazing place, but Vietri - like many of the towns on the Amalfi coast - is very steep and there is a considerable hill to walk up to town. There are a lot of steps in the property complex, so you have to be fairly fit to stay here! That said, the steps take you away from the town into a world of beauty, peace and tranquillity. There are also some caged birds at La Valle del Najadi which might upset some visitors. Birdsong adds to the ambience but perhaps not when it is of the caged variety... (sorry, just a personal view).
The junior suite was very comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed. The decor was stylish and we loved the beautiful blue tiled floor. The bathroom was good with plenty of hot water and the bed was super comfortable. The kitchen was very small but adequate for cooking the odd meal in. We had a large private terrace which was gorgeous. The setting is stunning - there is lots of greenery and lovely views. There is also a table-tennis table under a lemon tree and table-football in a recreation room. What more could anyone need..? Our hosts were incredibly helpful - helping us book a tour of Pompei, taking us to the top of the hill with our luggage on departure and gifting us cremacella and some of their incredible Amalfi lemons. Thank you to this lovely family.

United KingdomWe've been with our little twin daughters in Iris and it's been perfect for them. The location is great, very quiet and between the beach and the town center. The terrace is spectacular - big and clean. And the hosts are exceptional and super friendly, they accommodated all of our requests.

RomaniaThe shower head was fixed in place, which to us was a bit uncomfortable, especially if you didn't want to take a full shower( though shower caps were provided).
Gorgeous location, full of greenery, animals ( goats, birds, turtles and a very talkative cat which liked prosciutto), built on what once was a cotton mill. It provided very nice views of the Amalfi coast and was also very conveniently situated close to the old town of Vietri. It also had private parking, in the courtyard. The host was very helpful and made sure we had a wonderful stay.

RomaniaAn extraordinary location with a special architecture. The location has a very beautiful view from the terrace, over the city and towards the sea. Although there are several apartments in the location, you have privacy, they are very well arranged. The owner is a wonderful host who helped us with absolutely everything we needed. You will find in the location everything you need to have a wonderful vacation.

SpainHeating system did not provide much heat for the cool nights during our stay but we got extra blankets for the beds. Not sure I would like to stay in the winter. We stayed in end of October/early November so it wasn't so cold.
A family run business with an interesting history. The welcome was incredible. Pierro could not have been more helpful - he sat with us for almost an hour giving us all the information about places to visit in the area and how to get bus tickets and ferries and everything we would need to know about the apartment. The building itself and grounds and view from the terrace were amazing. The apartments are large and spacious and everyone gets their own allocated table and deck chairs on the outside terrace to use for relaxation and taking in the view. I was delightfully surprised that all the little necessities were provided if you wanted to do some self catering like olive oil and salt and some napkins, Coffee capsules can be purchased onsite or there is a traditional Italian coffee maker. There were 98 steps to get down to the apartment from the main entrance - my mum counted them as she found them a bit of challenge but I think she left there with increased fitness levels :-)

My partner and I stayed in Vietri at La Valle Delle Najadi in early October and it was one of our best hotel experiences ever. The site and the location are absolutely beautiful. Everything is well thought out down to the smallest details. The staff and the owners are very kind, responsive and always had good recommendations for us which made our experience in Vietri even better than we could have imagined. We highly recommend it!

United KingdomAll was fine.
Amazing views with delightful gardens and within easy reach of beach and town. (Lots of steps though - could be tricky for those with mobility issues). Comfortable and adequately equipped apartment, quiet and relaxing. Very kind owners who, on hearing that the next occupant was delayed, allowed us to stay for several extra hours which we found so helpful.

United KingdomThe only issue we had was with the wifi being slightly poor in our villa Alcea, however it wasn’t that much of an issue as we didn’t require it that often.
Lovely location, very friendly staff, great view. Close to the beach and the main square in the town. Easy to locate when we arrived from the train. Hosts were always easy to contact and offered great advice on where to go/what to do.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing!
The site of the accommodation on the hill side is stunning. Lots of stairs within the complex so not for everyone! Also located on a hill so requires some level of fitness. The junior suite was just amazing! Lots of room with a fab private terrace for our own use. The little extras in the room (cotton buds, cotton wool, razor, sewing kit) were great. Room was very clean and well presented with everything you require. Lots of towels too! The owners were very helpful and even took our cases up to the station for us after keeping them for a few hours after checkout.Prior to our visit, Francesca sent us lots of very useful information for getting about the Amalfi coast including timetables for ferries and trains. Would recommend this property. We had a lovely peaceful break and would definitely return if visiting the area again.

LithuaniaNothing. Everything was perfect.
This place is absolutely wonderful! Francesca and Pierro were helpful, even took us from the train station and they were always for you to help. The location is perfect - ±5/10 minutes from the beach and 5/10 minutes from town. They have to entrances, according where you are going (to the beach or to the city center). This was our 5th time in the Amalfi coast and this place to stay was the best. Clean rooms, perfect private terrace (we had Roccioso junior suite). There is a washing machine that guests can use - and the detergent is provided free of charge, actually everything you need for a week or two (or even more). Also in this property they have goats, exotic birds and even their own small chapel. Just perfect place in the Amalfi coast. From Vietri Sul Mare it is really comfortable to travel by boat to Amalfi, Positano, Maiori, Minori or other places, but this lovely small city it is not too crowded of people what is really nice.
