The location was private and a 10 minute drive into Tropea. It had a large beautiful pool with chaise lounge chairs to relax. It was a pleasant surprise. Staff was awesome.

The sushi restaurant located within the hotel waa closed due to family mourning. It would have been appreciated if we were advised before hand since we booked specifically at the hotel to dine at this place!

The room has a back porch with an outstanding view. The room was good and good selection of breakfast. It was really good. It has ample locked parking space and good location.

The hotel, and especially the gardens/pool are really nice. There is a sense of calm and peace in this hotel. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful, which made our stay more enjoyable. Fair play to them! The free shuttle service is also an added bonus.

Great staff. Very friendly. Rooms are very clean. Near the beach. Nice pool and the breakfast was very versatile and fresh. We had a room with balcony so after swimming we could hang out our clothes so they could dry.

Maria and her team were amazing hosts. We were a big group (this was a family get-together) and they were always willing to help in any way they could - they definitely went the extra mile to accommodate our many varied requests, and always with a smile! The rooms are spacious and clean and breakfast is delicious and plentiful!! A perfect way to start the day. La Bussola is a couple of kms away from the beach but they willingly transported us back and forth as needed. We would definitely return! Thank you Maria and team for an absolutely wonderful stay!

Everything was great - the only very small thing was that the bedsheets were a little hard.

The hotel is gorgeous - staff so friendly and the welcome was brilliant. We could not have been better looked after. Thank you for an amazing stay! The pool is lively and then entertainment at night was fabulous.

Hotel is far from beach- about 3 km, in describtion it was 800 m. Last shuttle from seashore is at 19, no possibiliry to see sunset. Rooms are dark, beds are narrow Hotel is situated near busy highway you hear all time cars passing by

Take care booking this hotel!! I booked 4 months in advance only to receive notice 2 days before arrival they could not honor their commitment. They instead told me they could arrange rooms at a "partner hotel" with equal or better ratings and amenities. The hotel we were sent to was NOT equal in any way. The pool was 700 meters away at a different site!! As you can tell, I'm not happy about this but wanted to share my experience so you can make an informed choice while booking a hotel in Tropea. Be careful!!!

The place is way overpriced. We paid for a 170euro for a Superior Double with seaview room but got something completely different than the pics of superior rooms with seaview posted on booking.com. The excellent staff found another room for us that had a a good sea view. We moved to the new room and time is now 17:45 but now we found that the new room toilet flushing was badly broken and did not flush. we ended up asking for a bucket to flush the toilet. The fridge was empty, and there was no water in the fridge. The smoke detector flickers all night long so its almost impossible to sleep unless u leave the light on. When you pay 170euro for 1 night in a superior double room with a seaview (and i phoned specifically to make sure the sea view is good and that we can see the sunset), one expects a properly maintained room, some form of luxury and proper panoramic views not to mention at least 2 mini bottles of water in the fridge.

Staff is great and very helpful, Breakfast is very abundant with everything and super! Location is good. A fantastic welcome drink was served to us upon arrival.
