How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Only problem we had was, we had a late flight but there was no space to leave our luggage after check out. Dario was very kind to help us to find a place that we can store our luggage but it was a bit hard to walk there in the rain and also we had to pay a lot as we had a lot of luggage.
The apartment has everything necessary in it, was very clean and location was very good, easy to walk to all main attractions and even train station was in 15 minutes walking distance. The host Dario and his mother were very kind. Dario texted us everyday to ask if we need anything or how was going our holiday, we really appreciated that.

Our host was very helpful and very communicating. The apartment is located on the first floor, pointing on a square used as parking. You can drink a coffee on a sunny balcony while enjoying the street activities. There is a little supermarket and few local restaurants nearby. The apartment is fully renovated, modern and well decorated. Dario did his best to make our stay as smooth of possible. The building looks very nice inside and outside. It might be a bit noisy at night and it is because it is located in a lively area. Normal for a city. :)

Thanks to Dario and his place we had an amazing stay at Palermo.Apartment is close to city center for daily walking tours to the main attractions. Also convenient parking in front for 5e/day. Don’t forget it is ZTL area so you need to purchase also pass for the car. We were traveling with a 5y old kid and the apartment was perfect clean and convenient for the 3 of us.

The location is perfect and the host did everything he could for us just to have a wonderful stay in Palermo. Thank you, Dario! Nice and large apartment, with a very good mood. The parking in front of the house is a huge advantage.

Lovely apartment in the heart of Palermo. Very clean and nicely appointed with everything you need for a great stay! The host was exceptionally helpful offering support throughout our stay. Bed is really comfortable and kitchen is well equipped for you to make some meals if you wish. Highly recommend!

The door lock was a bit confusing, you need to ensure the door is closed.
The host was very, very nice and helpful, and let us check in several hours before the actual check-in time. Also, he let us stay a bit longer on the day of checkout. The apartment is in the city center, close to various cafes and restaurants.

Dario is such a kind host. He tried to help us as much as he could. Parking in front of the apartment was convenient and the house was so clean. It's also convenient to walk through the main street.

Although the location was excellent it was extremely noisy in the piazza on Saturday night lasting until 3am.
Very spacious and comfortable. Host was most helpful at all times.

Nice quiet and modern appartment, equipped with all the necessary things for preparing some breakfast or dinner. Very close to the main tourist attractions. Restaurants and coffees near. The parking place is 5 euro per day if you're accommodated in the appartment.

Amazing stay at Dario's place. It is perfectly located in the old city, spacious, newly refurbished and clean. Dario is proactive to provide guidance and even shared nice restaurant recommendations. We will come back!

Toilet seat was broken and it would be good if the hosts left more than one towel per person for a four night stay. But these are minor points.
Wonderful, centrally located apartment. Very helpful hosts. Well equipped kitchen. Perfect base for exploring Palermo.
