How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The price was quite high but it is Taormina in general that is quite high. This hotel has a good relation quality/price compared to other hotels in the area.
The hotel is well located, clean and quiet. Alessandro had been a welcoming host, providing help and advice to make us spend a great stay in Taormina. We recommand this place to stay in Taormina. We will surely choose ut if we come back

The only thing is that the balcony is so small that you cannot sit on it.
This a great place to stay that is affordable and is located in a strategic position from which it is very easy to visit the main points of interest in Taormina. The room well equipped and clean. The manager welcomes you with great professionalism, courtesy and also offers lots of very valid advice. Beautiful experience! I highly recommend.

This place was great. The manager, Alex, was so very pleasant and helpful. I arrived after hours, so he orchestrated a remote check-in that worked flawlessly. The next morning, he provided maps and other information to simplify my stay. And, during my visit, he continued to offer helpful information. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with coffee to start the day. It is centrally located just a few steps off of the main drag, so it was very easy to go out for drinks and food. As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe. I had a wonderful 2-week visit to Taormina.

I have no negative feedback.
This hotel is located in the center of the city. It is also one of the quietest hotels I have ever stayed in. The upper floors in particular have great views across the city. Alex, the owner of the hotel, was extremely helpful and available.

The hotel entrance is on a staircase so be prepared for a short bit steep access.

Don't really have anything I didn't like.
The location was fantastic! Right in the middle of Tamorina, so you'll always have places close by to eat. It can be pricey and overcrowded in the central area.

The hotel is right in the middle of old town with easy access to lots of restaurants and historical sites. The owner is very attentive and helpful. We highly recommend them. Note, there are about a dozen stairs that you’ll need to carry your bags up and down to access the hotel.

No dedicated front desk. I picked this place because I thought it was a hotel, which I prefer, so that there is staff in case I have any issues. I just wasn't expecting a remote check in during normal check in hours. Detailed instructions were communicated by WhatsApp. That worked fine this time because I had a phone w/ a data plan but it would have been an issue if I didn't have a working phone with me. I did finally get to meet the staff on checkout day and they were very nice. Also older travelers should be aware that while the hotel has an elevator, there are about 40 steps up to the entrance of hotel. The room had a bathtub and great shower, but the bathtub sides are about 30 inches high so could be difficult getting in for someone with mobility issues. Not an issue with us but could be a problem with others. The room could use an extra outlet or two for charging phones/cameras.
The location was wonderful, about 10 min walk from one end of Urso Umberto pedestrian street and near all the main tourist sights. Taormina is not very big so once you are in the historic center, it's easy to walk to everything. The room had a comfortable bed, good AC, a nice balcony with chairs (best part) with great view of amphitheater & a small mini fridge. I enjoyed sitting outside in the evening. I would recommend this place as long as you don't have mobility issues.

The staircase to the entrance was dirty and I was embarrassed when my friends pointed this out. I also overbooked by 1 night and after many tries I could not reach booking. Com. The host was not helpful in this one matter.

Perfect location. Right off Corso Umberto but tucked away so that you’re not getting any of the noise and bustle from the crowds. Value was great. Alessandro was amazing and available for anything

Great hotel in Taormina! We really enjoyed our stay. It's a great location right amongst all the restaurants, shops and tourist sights. The host Alessandro was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, comfortable and affordable. There is a coffee station near the reception area, available for all guests. Just a note that we got a taxi to the Hotel around 7.30pm and the taxi driver wouldn't drive to the hotel, he dropped us just before Porta Messina which was about a 6-7min walk with suitcases to the hotel. It's about a 10-12min walk to the bus station for buses to Catania.

I have no complaints at all.
Great location. Very close to one of the main streets but you wouldn’t know it, it wasn’t noisy at all. The manager was extremely helpful and friendly. I arrived well before normal check in time and he had a room ready for me with no fuss. I also caused a couple of minor unintentional inconveniences but he resolved them right away in a very friendly and courteous manner.

Centrally located, few steps in Umberto.
IT’s centrally located. The owner/ manager of the hotel is hospitable and ready to help your questions about directions, recommendations , tours and other concerns. It was a pleasant stay.
