The headboard on the bed, could be seen as a rustic addition to the room but I found it to be unsanitary. It was flaky and the old leather particles kept falling off and landing on our bed. I covered this over with a blanket for our stay.

The location is fantastic. If you like walking, you can walk to all of the historical sites from here. We did not use any public transport during our stay. The room is fair. There were a couple of things that could have been better but for the price it was okay. There was a kettle but no items to use with this in the room. Found some in the next door closet, which seemed like a caretakers room. No tea or coffee available. You will need to buy. Shower is tiny so if you are any bigger than around 70kg you would struggle to move around. R

It wasn’t the cleanest. There was a strange smell in the room that I had to keep my windows open. Other than that it is the perfect place to stay.

The location was really really good. It was close to public transport and Vatican. There were a lot of places to travel and it was overall a really good experience. I really liked the self check in system. I am a solo traveler and a woman and I had a nice time in the room.

The room was quite dusty specially the floor and under the bed. We cannot plug in the kettle in the bedroom so we have to used the one in the hallway which not a problem at all. Lastly, the front door is hard to open and is quite noisy.

Getting off to a bad start with having to pay 20 euros for a late check-in because of Italian Air traffic control strike which delayed my flight. No plug in wash basin a bit annoying which wasted hot water whilst shaving.

The quality of the room is average. Furnishings are outdated and looking tired, the bedhead was old and peeling, bed and pillows weren't really comfortable, lamp broken/hanging off the wall and bedroom curtain broken. There was grime/rust on the shower, and the sink pipe was rusted to the point where water leaks onto the bathroom floor. See attached photos!

The location of this property is definitely what you're paying for! The area is fantastic - much quieter at night than the city centre with plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes, gelato & laneways to explore.

An electric kettle was not clean inside , thick layer of the build up, so I had difficulty to get clean water after boiling.

Max checked me in early with no fees, at 11am, which was very helpful. They allow to use their fridge in the office which is opened 24/7. There were no toiletries but they provided with some soap sachets when I asked.

The room could have been a little bit cleaner. If so would have been rated higher. The Aircon broke during our stay and was told it was fixed however we could not get it to work again, if this worked for the whole duration of our stay the accommodation would have been rated higher.

The location is really good as it was about 20 minutes from the Trevi fountain and about 5 minutes from the Vatican. The accommodation is as seen in the photos. It was good value for money when we stayed.

The location of the room was amazing. It was near the St.Peters Basilica. There was a bus station on every corner so you could get to any part of the town. It was clean. They would change the towels and sheets every 3 days.

Nonetheless the cleaning of the room was below standards, especially in Covid period when this aspect should be top priority for all accommodation owners. First of all, we arrived and we barely had toilet paper. The person checking us in finally agreed to buy some more for us ( after I insisted several times - I thought he was going to make me go and buy it for myself) Afterwards we spent one hour to disinfect the entire room, because it was dirty. the towels and linen did not smell properly ( I was expecting at least a smell of chlorine), the curtains were very dirty and full of dust as well! The showering cabin had 1 glass door missing, therefore we ended up with flooded floors after each shower. Also, the shower cap was leaking and very hard to shower with. The shared kitchen area was also extremely messy and dirty. It is a pity that such a nice place was not taken care of properly. I understand that the cleaning company was in the process of being changed, but that should not affect the guest’s experience. I hope that the management will take care of this aspect in the future.

The location for this property is amazing. Safe neighborhood and within walking distance to Vatican and Piazza del Populo ( and other Italian landmarks) . We did not use any means of transportation, we only walked from the accommodation to all major landmarks, and it was amazing as location. From this point of view the location and value for money cannot be contested.

The check in. Arrived at the location at 2pm (which was indicated as a check in time and confirmed), only to find out that the responsible staff will arrive at 3pm (and in reality arrived at 4pm). Received an explanation that the staff had to be at other locations/missed the bus etc. which does not really explain how that is my problem and why I and to wait for 2 hours in the inner yard of the building waiting for the owner to reply on booking.com.
