How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Literally everything is great about this property.
Everything about the property was stupendous! We really enjoyed luxury in a logical price! The room was very beautiful, spacious and decorated with lot of taste! The stuff was very friendly, speaking 3 languages! The location was perfect near the centro storico and everything you need to see in Aosta. Also the owners were very helpful and ready to provide info about everything and they were very flexible with check in and check out. Last but not least the breakfast was stunning, products were really fresh and delicious. We will for sure come back soon! Thanks for everything.

- Other guests staying in the hotel were not always wearing the mask in the reception area, this should be enforced more formally (hotel staff was wearing masks at all times). Aside from this, everything else was great.
+ We asked for an early check-in and the hotel was able to accommodate it. + The breakfast was excellent with lots of choices and local food to try. + Loved the bathroom, clearly renovated with two sinks and a rain-shower. + During check-in they offered us coffee and tea.

Breakfast is ok rather than great, but typical of Italian hotels - fresh fruit would be welcome.
Location is very central. There is on-street parking in the Piazza della Repubblica, but it's well worth paying €5 at reception for covered parking nearby.

Although the room is really charming it has little natural light. It’s due because it’s sort of an attic-ish room.
Everything from the tasteful decoration- all ancient wood and nice furniture - to the mansarde-like spacious room and a relaxing in-bathroom private tiny hamman, huge bed and all ammenities provided - coffee, tea, robes, shampoos, shaving kit… The kindness of signora Tatiana who hosted us and tends to everyone ‘s whim for breakfast. The location which suits those in search of a silent spot right in the middle of the old town, without the crowds but a stone’s throw from shops , bars and restaurants. Sure we will return when possible.

We have been here for the 5th time, and its wonderful as ever. Very nice room, superb bathroom with rain-shower, great location in old town Aosta and a good breakfast. You can even get a private parking place very nearby. The host, Eleanora, does everything to make your stay great!

Breakfast could be better if it was an open buffet , that anyone can choose, no vegetables . We were two people, limited soap/shampoo etc.

mainly it was cold. the heating went off at 6pm and didn’t come on again till we left the next day. i tried adjusting the thermostat, but nothing!! i slept in the bathrobe all night. the junior suite had a sauna, sadly this smelt so bad we could use it or use the shower due to the smell. The sink didn’t have a functional plug, so it was impossible to fill the sink. the phone adapter was so old it wouldnt fit modern phones so you couldn’t play music. the bed whilst large and comfortable had poor quality pillows, like flat pancakes. small things that need addressing.The lounge area was nice but again cold. no fire lit and unwelcoming.
i loved the building, wood everywhere, classical furniture etc. the position was good, close to all amenities.
