How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It was on a busy road so there was traffic noise. Closing the windows helped with that.
It was clear the owners took pride in their hotel. It was very clean. They rented 3 rooms that shared a lounge area and kitchen. There were snacks. Note on finding the hotel: When you exit the train station, there is a glass building that houses and elevator and stairs that lead to the street below. Go down one level, turn right, go under the bridge and the hotel is on the right. The train is only 5 minutes away which was great for visiting Cinque Terre. Historic area and harbor are a 15-20 minute walk.

Everything was perfect. Very clean. The host was extremely friendly and patient. Free coffee and some biscuits with jam. Highly recommended when you want to stay near the train station.

Coffee was not up to par with the Italian standard.
Location. Only 6 min away from.the central train station of LA Spezia it was a great location to reach the famous CinqiebTerre.

It did not bother me but perhaps the noises of from the train may disturb a light sleeper.
I booked this place last minute as my accomodation had fallen through elsewhere. The property is located very close to the train station such that you can hear the trains (black-out/sound proof shutters do reduce the noise). I did not explore much of La Spezia but it appeared to be conveniently located to the centre. I contacted the owner who allowed me to leave my bags prior to check in which was most helpful. My initial impression of the property was it was a little dodgy, but this would later prove to be incorrect. There’s an old lift and strange communal area with a kitchenette (no oven or stove) and a table with a comically large selection of brochures all the while clean and orderly. Upon my return from a day of hiking I found my room to be exceptionally clean. At this point in my trip I had also stayed at a hotel with daily cleaning services that couldn’t compete with Le Tre Spezie. I used the kitchen to make a salad and had all the utensils I needed. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner very effective. The bathroom facilitates were modern.

The parking is not nearby and on the street.
Location is very closed to the train station. Room is comfortable and with sufficient sunlight.

Excellent location for visiting the city and hiking. Really close to the train station and not far from the city centre. Very comfortable and clean rooms and easy communication with the hosts.

Apartment was refurbished, modern and clean
Close to transport especially if you wish to take local transport to Cinque Terre. Also well located to little supermarket and restaurants only a 10 minutes

The room was tidy and comfortable. Very close to the station (of La Spezia) where you'll have to get the train to visit Le Cinque Terre. The host welcomed and held us a free parking spot close to the guest house. He also let us check-in earlier (handling us they key and make the payment) and kept our luggages in the apartment so we wouldn't have to carry them around. They also have a small fridge and gifted us a big bottle of water. Very good experience and I'll be back when visiting again Le 5 terre 😊 thank you!

it would have been nice to know how to operate the coffee machine
the room was very clean and we were pleasantly surprised by the place, the crackers and jam added a nice touch. the room was very clean the bed super comfy and the shower was very good.

Very friendly staff, we met Paolo and his daughter who was translating in English and they were amazing. The accomodation is nearby the city centre and 5 minutes to the train station. Very clean and quiet room, highly recommended.

The host was great and communication was on point. was able to find me free parking as I drove to spezie. The place was super clean and had everything we needed. the location is close to everything and right across from train station to cinque terre. don’t think about it twice 10/10

It's very dark, with no natural light, because the blinds cover the windows. You can open them but it's not the easiest. Also if one of you wants to leave and take the key to get back into the apartment, you need to take a key that turns off all the lights so the other person is left in the darkness. Also, the apartment is quite cold and they have an air conditioner that blows in heat, which I would rather be cold than turn that on.
It's great if you're just wanting to stay one or two nights, the place was very clean. The owner is very friendly and helped us find a free parking spot and carried our bags to the room! They leave coffee, tea, and an Italian breakfast of crackers, dry toast, and jam to have in the morning. In a shared, spotless kitchen. So close to the train station if you're visiting the cinque terra.

We had a little problem understanding the heater but solved this with the help.ofbthe owner. No other problems at all.
The location was perfect for thecstation and for reaching the main shopping area. The room was very nicely done, light and airy. It was very clean and surprisingly quiet being so close to.busy road and station. Lovely comfortable bed.
