The staff was amazingly helpful, they helped us with ancillary activities and recommended the places to visit. Le vecchie Cantine itself is a wonderful place, in the heart of little Italian town Chianni where the time seems to stop... The room had beautiful arches and furniture seeming to date old times, but it was equipped with XXI century conveniences such as air conditioning. Perfect combination! The food was delicious and waiters helpful with making a choice from food and an extensive wine list. Fully recommend!

Managed by the owner who was present and available at all times, excellent staff, we felt like family in this hotel. It is a small facility with the charm of a small town and we met very nice and friendly town residents !!! Specially Mrs. Elizabetha who treat us like old friends and provided excellent recommendations of near towns to visit. The hotel is close to Teatro del Silenzio at Lajatico if you plan to assist to Andrea Bocelli annual concert.

We Loved Everything about our stay at Le Vecchie Cantine. The little hilltop town was charming; the people in the community were lovely and welcoming. The warmhearted staff at Le Vecchie Cantine, made our trip memorable. Lorenzo at the front desk was friendly, good-natured and very helpful. The food cooked by lovely owner Rita, in the restaurant was exceptional. The servers Monica, Timi, Vanda, Gloria and Thomas greeted us each day with friendly smiles. They were considerate, caring, kind and openly sociable which made for a very enjoyable experience. If we were ever in the area again, we would definitely book our stay at the Le Vecchie Cantine. It’s the perfect place to relax and soak in the culture of Tuscany.

Assumed we would have use of the pool. Only available in winter but only found out on check in.

Great team who were particularly helpful regarding an issue we had with a hire car. Always on site and ready to assist. Food and wine are exceptional

If I have to find something, it’s no outside space with sunbeds etc , but this is the way it is in such a small medieval village .

Set in the centre of beautiful Chianni, it felt like being on a Tuscan film set . Alesso and his staff are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and book for a fantastic dinner on the front terrace. Only 30 mins from Pisa airport.

It's a very nice apartment about 2 minutes walk from the main building of the hotel. There is a brand new air conditioner in the attic room which can cool the rooms even if the outside temperature is 36-37 C. The view is fantastic from each windows. Our hosts and all the staff were kind, helpful and paid attention for the details.

Wifi was patchy in room. Indoor pool closed for summer, but not too much of a problem as excellent local pool nearby.

The AC didn't work when we arrived but after some back and forth the staff discovered a bird's nest blocking the vent. The hotel had no info available about the area or restaurants.

It is located in a small village which was very charming. The building itself was cool and the restaurant was very good...especially dinner.

It would be good if the receptionist speaks also English language but we have our hands and really smart phones so it was okay :). As it was quite hot during our stay it would be good if the airconditioning works properly, or if it works at all.

Very kind personnel. Nice village-place, delicious dinner (steak fillet :) ) and perfect breakfast. Hotel is a bit older but this is expactable as it is located in old village :), however kept clean a maintained.

Location and the architecture is fabulous with amazing Tuscan brick ceilings and traditional features - the owner / manager is always very friendly and helpful. Dinner on the terrace outside is sublime.
