How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing. Everything was good.
It was spacious, about 10mins from both supermarket and railway station. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast.

20 min on foot to the centre. Train line goes only 10m from the room window. We were not told to pay plus 25€ taxes when we booked a room. Instead of 150€ we had to pay 175€.
Possibility to use Netflix.

Hot water in the bathroom was very short for two. After 1 shower almost no more in the balloon. Take care of it.

Great size room, great helpful kind an friendly staff, lovely location for travel into cinque terre… 15 mins walk to train station… and 5 mins from first stop of the 5 towns

You can hear the trains really clearly, but that didnt botter me that much.
The staff allowed us to do an early check in on order to drop our bags. Thank you very much for that. Since we would be leaving before breakfast on the next day, they packed us a simple bag with food. Again, thank you very much! Good WiFi. Its a simple 20min walk to the train station. If you have a car, parking spot is available on the residence.

Hard to drive to with narrow roads but no problem once you hat the hang of it. Sleep areas were open with no doors or curtains for privacy
Good location for train station supermarket near by. Wry good hosts good breakfasts

In the morning it was too noisy, train goes next to the house. The spare bed was uncomfortable.

Loud and bright street all night, blind doesn’t block out much light. Floor was quite dirty when we arrived, asked for a clean but we’re provided with a mop and bucket to do it ourselves. 15m walk to train station

It was too far from everything.
I liked big rooms, air condition and big beds. Bathroom was clean too. Breakfast was ok but not so many choices in food.

The bed and reclining sofa are uncomfortable to sleep. They’ve been worn out and need to be replaced. The floor was dirty. Our kids walked in white socks and after few hours their white socks became dark grey.
In general it’s a good value of money. You can’t expect high level of comfort for this price.

Still under construction
The hotel is still under construction and is a little remote. However, this added to the charm of the place. The staff were friendly. The apartment very very spacious and clean. We were warm and comfortable. Our room did face the train tracks and trains did go by. We enjoyed watching them from the balcony. Breakfast is basic. We walked into the local village and had the most authentic pizza experience we will ever have. The 2 brother who own the place went above an beyond to welcome us - Pizzeria Capolinea. This hotel is good if you have transport with plenty of parking. Public transport is a bit more complicated and a bit far to walk. We took a taxi. Convenient for the Cinque Terra region.

Very nice staff, friendly, helpful and good English. Rooms very are spacious, more like full apartments. I guess some people live here long term. The whole place is a bit weird concept, but it works. Very affordable and it works. Free parking is a huge bonus. Breakfast is a typical Italian minimalistic, croissant and a cappucino. But I have to say it was a fresh tasty croissant and cappucino. We enjoyed...
