The room was quite small and it felt like I didn’t have much room to move around but it served the purpose of a place to sleep.

Clean, private bathroom, cute balcony, kind staff and in an active neighborhood with good food, though a little far from city center, took me about 30 minutes to walk to Trevi fountain.

The beds aren’t too comfortable and rooms could do a bit of a fix up. Several broken tiles and a defect light switch. Coffee set wasn’t refilled daily, but we could’ve asked for it, which we didn’t.

Central location and quite convenient with your own key, so you can come and go as you wish. The rooms were very basic, but didn’t lack anything of importance. A cheap option to stay in the middle of the city.

The room felt a bit crammed.

The location of Hotel Carmel is great. It's close enough to everything where you can walk if you want yet enough distance so you don't get caught up in the city rush of Rome. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant as well. They made sure I had my ride figured out to the airport and that I had everything I needed for my stay.

The hotel is very well situated in the Trastevere area yet away from the crowds. Th rooms are small and very clean. The staff is very helpful. It has a beautiful terrace to enjoy a glass of wine.

Noise of the heater, window not really isolated (cleaning cars are parked in front of the hotel) and pillows a bit to thin (but this is a detail).

Employees were really nice and helpful, always available even during their rest time. they kept our bags even after check-out, so we could spend our last visit day without carrying our bags. Location in Trastevere (dining and living area) is great, 20 min walk from main tourist areas. Terrasse was really appreciated!

I had a leaking pipe in the bathroom

The staff were amazing. I had a robbery when travelling outside in city of Rome . The Hotel Carmel manager immediately dropped everything, took me to the police station and later drove across the city and helped me find my stolen passport in the city . Just incredible help and consideration . Very much over and above in service. The hotel neighbourhood is really interesting and a choice of local bars and great restaurants with outside dining. Don’t be put of by the outside of the building , it’s clean and cosy enough inside . Easy walking to lots of the famous sites.

I didnt love the breakfast options, but they were not bad in price. Not very vegan friendly, but that was expected.

I loved how welcoming and kind the staff was. Communication was a breeze. I also loved the location as it was very central and made walking around easy.

The rooms are a bit small and air conditioning isn't the coolest - but still works and was a pleasant night's sleep.

The staff was super accommodating and the location is wonderful. We walked around the city every night we stayed here and they gladly checked our bags after we checked out of our room so we could walk around the city on our final day in Rome.

The kettle was full of lime, we could not boil water and drink tea. But we said that and the attendant offered us tea.

FYI - the rooms are dark and the bed is on the hard side. This is not a complaint just a recommendation to take note of.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located to visit the area and surrounds and is close to the bus stop.

My only complaint is there was a significant amount of mold in the bathroom. This could be easily remedied with a water/bleach spray solution. I didn't feel safe showering or being in the bathroom for long, but had to.

The service was incredible and the people caring and communicative. They made sure our very early morning taxi (3:30am) was booked and confirmed, and offered for us to come knocking on their door in the event the taxi didn't show up, just in case. The hotel is located just blocks from many amazing eateries, shops, and communal hangout places.

Minor inconvenience of having to leave the room to get to our bathroom but it was still a private bathroom and literally one step away. A full length mirror would’ve been an added bonus. Stay was great.

The bed was pretty hard. Using a brush with bleach on the shower walls could get rid of the mould.
