Brand new rooms, ultra modern design, delicious food, walking distance from the train station (you also have a shuttle). The owners Giulia and Gianpaolo are very friendly and take care of everything you need. I highly recommend!

Absolutely nothing!

Clean, spacious well equipped. Every detail to a guest’s stay had been considered. Breakfast was excellent on the terrace. The owners could not be more helpful in ensuring our stay was perfect, not only in the accommodation but recommendations for trips etc.

The whole experience was just amazing. The hosts are wonderful, the breakfast is brilliant and the room (I can of course only speak for ours) was extremely comfortable. They care about the environment so there are soap and shampoo bars and a water machine in the lobby which is praiseworthy. Also, there is parking immediately outside if you arrive by car, which can be extra valuable during peak season. It is a few hundred metres from the historic streets, but that was a pro rather than a con since it meant peace and space too. We cannot recommend highly enough.

Great views. Fantastic hosts. Spacious room. Amazing gourmet breakfasts. We will be sure to return! This village is also a much less crowded place to serve as a base for exploring the other more crowded nearby villages.

I can’t come up with anything negative, it’s located on a quiet street a few steps from the historic center & great restaurants.

The room is beautiful (with the best shower I’ve seen in all my trips to Italy), and the property has a rooftop deck with beautiful views of the ocean, available to guests at any time. Breakfast is a la carte, with delicious options and the amazing service owner Gianpaolo gives. I was impressed with the attention to detail and care he showed to every guest. I highly recommend this place for the best Cinque Terre stay!

Our hosts, Giulia and Gianpaolo, made our stay really memorable. They paid attention to all single details, very kind people! The breakfast is just amazing, everything is delicious, freshly prepared according to your wishes. The building looks freshly renovated, all the equipment is top quality, all beds are super comfy! The stay was even better than a regular hotel, much more guest focused!

Beautiful and clean facilities, great view and has one car spot for each room, which is great, since parking spots are few. Staff is great and always available to answer questions and help with needs. I can go on and on and I will only have great things to say about Locanda Il Carugio. Thank you for a great stay!

Nothing to dislike from our point of view.

Great interior design and well laid out. Our adjoining double rooms were high spec’ and the property is well located in the relaxing village of Corniglia. From Corniglia, we could travel to/from the other areas in the Cinque Terre. We loved it. If we needed additional supplies for our room or even a packed breakfast for a day out, nothing seemed too much trouble. Truly wonderful.

Great location with an amazing breakfast view. The breakfast was offered a wide variety of meals which were all lovely :) The place is located just near the main town square of Corniglia which makes it very accessible to the shuttle bus and the village itself. Definitely worth the price you pay.

There was nothing not to like! It was perfect.

Breakfast was fantastic! Every morning we were served breakfast on the roof terrace overlooking the sea and Manarola. We ordered what we wanted from the menu and there was always a daily special. Everything was delicious. The rooms were spacious. The staff thought of what we needed/wanted before we realized we needed/wanted it. Staff was also very helpful about accessing hikes and restaurant recommendations. Definitely plan to come back!!!

I liked everything:)

Even though Corniglia is probably less famous and pretty place in Cinque Terre, it is good as less crowded and you can travel to other towns easily. The apartments were fabulous, very clean, modern, great breakfast, really helpful staff. I could not think of anything that could be improved. I really recommend this apartment.

The view was awesome. The breakfast’s were delicious every day. Gianpaolo was so very helpful. The shower was amazing. We loved being in a quiet town, close to fantastic hiking but not as busy or touristy as the other towns. The trade off is an uphill trek from the train station and less restaurants. However, we wanted to walk and loved eating at nearby La Posada.

Nothing to dislike, everything was wonderful! We loved our stay and loved Corniglia!

The property is beautiful, perched on the cliffs of Corniglia with sweeping views. Elegant design in every aspect. The building is gorgeous. There is an inside common room for use and breakfast; also several terraces. We had breakfast on the terrace! The owners have thought of everything to make a stay wonderful in all sorts of little details from a delicious breakfast to including laundry soap and a little drying rack for washing out small clothing items, to having dishes available for take away meals. The owner lent me his hiking poles and guided us in planning our hikes. The also lent us a very good hiking map and guide book.

nothing it was perfect

the location was stunning with as terrace overlooking the hills and ocean. Breakfast was superb with special choice every day including lovely croissants and other choices. Gianpaolo and his sister were lovely and nothing was too much trouble, we will definitely be returning. Superb location in the middle village of Corniglia.
