I've explored Matera up and down, left and right, but the best view is from this place. I can't explain how great the food was (the best focaccia I've ever eaten) and how genuine and friendly Donato is. The beds are comfy and the stay is full of nice surprises which I won't disclose. Easy check in and check out process.

Incredibile experience, starting from the absolutely lovely and helpful hosts, Donato and Rossana, who helped us to get around, welcomed with some delicious pastries, and incredible breakfast. There’s a personal touch, which is very rare these days. And the place itself is of course incredible too- it has everything, perfectly located, has a lot of cute details and atmosphere to experience Matera is perfect.

Such a perfect place. We have never been received with so many little thoughtful details and gifts. Of course the view is amazing but the room has so many amenities it makes you want to stay. The host was incredible we received all the instructions we needed and more. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

The hotel was perfectly located. You can park your car for free within 5 minutes walk (the host will give you the exact location). Besides, you have a fantastic view of Matera. The accomodation is run by a very lovely couple! They were super helpful and easy to contact via whatsapp. Upon arrival you are spoiled with cake, pastries and focaccia! They paid attention to every little detail to make you feel as welcome as possible. Restaurants and attractions are all within walking distance. It is a great city and a very nice accommodation!

This place is truly magical! We loved everything about it. The view is breathtaking! One of the best views you can get in Matera. The location is right in Sassi. Perfect! You can park your car for free at a close distance. Donato will send you very clear instructions how to get there. Donato and his wife are so incredibly kind. She will surprise you with delicious treats. It’s very clean and you will fall asleep in a very relaxed way but that’s a surprise.✨✨✨ What I said before…this place is magical.💛✨

A fabulous property actually inside Old Matera with staggering views of the Sassi. Very comfortable and clean, the apartment is a wonderful base from which to explore Matera. Donato was the perfect host with every question responded to instantly. We want to come back to Matera in the future, and we would definitely stay here again.

Google map gives you a weird and complex way to get there, full of stairs and up and downs, if set by walking. So if you're with luggage and ztl is active and you've parked north/northwesterly of "Loggia delle stelle" set the navigation as if you were driving; much easier!

Everything was great, the host has been extremely kind and available, from where to find a parking spot, to giving us a ride with luggage! We found an home made focaccia and a prosecco bottle as a welcome gift. Position is perfect to visit the city and the view out of the apartment is simply astonishing! Last but not least, the appartment is very nice with a jacuzzi and at night you can start the small stars projector on the ceiling. Nice breakfast provided.

Absolutely everything ! This is an amazing spot to explore Gorgeous Matera, right in the historical centre. We felt at home from beginning to end, Donato and his wife are amaIng hosts. We will definitely be back!

N/a , a perfect stay

The location was absolutely incredible, a view from the room like in a painting and right on the doorstep of all the restaurants and bars. The room itself was newly renovated and spacious with excellent breakfast facilities. The bathroom was amazing with a modern jacuzzi tub including Bluetooth and lights. The hosts donato and his wife really went out of their way to make it a special stay, even for one night and provided information and help before and during our stay. A big thank you as well to the hosts friend Tonino who helped us out and really made us feel welcome for our short stay. The best Italian welcome we could wish for.

There is a bit of weird smell in the room

It was a lovely stay. Location of the accommodation is superb with a wonderful view. The host was super helpful. He helped me to find a free parking spot nearby which is just 6-7 mins walk away from the room. We had a wonderful stay in Matera.

The owner of the bnb, Donato, and his wife, simply pampered us. They picked us up where we parked our car (you can't drive with your own car by there) and prepared for us a focaccia and many other homemade food! We felt so welcomed we didn't want to leave!!! And the room was magical with a breathtaking view!!
