How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Very close to the city centre and the metro station Very clean We had everything in the kitchen and in the bathroom Even outside was a lot of noise inside was very quiet. We didn’t heard anything from the street. I this was the best accommodation in terms of noise. Everything was above expectations!

We liked everything.
Apartment is very functional, clean, well equipped and perfectly located. Close to the main attractions in the city center, and short walk to the metro, supermarkets or restaurants. We loved it. The owner Paulo is very responsive, helpful and flexible. I fully recommend this apartment and Paulo as a host.

Nothing that we didn’t like.
Location, well organized and equipped for a couple. It is a very quiet and cozy place although is few steps from the Via Torino and Duomo. You can do almost everything by walking. The host is an amazing person who kept contact all the time.

loved everything about it
a fantastic modern apartment with everything you need- iron, washing machine, dishwasher etc, walking distance to MILANO DUOMO and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, plus other landmarks, as well as a tram stop literally at end of the short street and so many shops and restaurants close by. Paolo the host went out of his way to accommodate our booking because of early flight arrival and our late departure times

Great apartment in a very central location. 5min from the Duomo and lots of bars and ristorante. Paolo was very responsive to all my queries. Check in instructions were clear, and someone was there to meet you at the apartment. The apartment has everything that you need for a stay of a couple of days including a washing macchine.

The location of the apartment was great situating very near The Duomo and the busy shopping streets. Still you couldn´t hear any noise from the streets. The apartment was really tidy and modern, including everything you might need during your stay. The host Paolo was also super friendly and caring. A perfect place to stay while in Milano!

Great location with just 5 min walk to IL Duomo. Good connection to Metro line. Paolo, our host was excellent, really help us a lot. The apartment had everything that we needed, well laid out, very clean and modern space.

The location was great - just round the corner from the Duomo. The apartment had everything that was needed in a well laid out, clean and modern space. Paolo, the host, was really helpful and accessible on WhatsApp, and Rosanna, who showed us around, was lovely.

Great location with just a short walk to il Duomo. Clean and really nice appartment with everything you need for four. There was nice lady waiting for us with keys and information of appartement when we landed wich was great. The host was easy and quick to reach and very helpfull. 👍👍

The apartment was lovely and very clean. Comfortable and spacious too. Paolo was very welcoming and helpful, answering all our queries. The location is perfect, very near the Duomo and there are lots of restaurants and shops around. I would stay here again if I were to visit Milan in the future.
