How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We liked everything
From the moment we arrived until we left, the treatment was super good. The room and bathroom are spacious and the bed very comfortable. We really liked that the spa is by individual reservation so you can relax much more and better. A good breakfast, you have a buffet and you can also order from the menu. Quality products and everything included with the reservation. The hotel and all its staff is a 10. Dinner at the restaurant is another 10, both the food (very good quality meat) and the treatment of the staff. All 100% recommended. Thank you very much for everything and congratulations for your great work.

Google shows the restaurant as hotel, and there are no any signs for hotel, so it was really hard to find!
Just a lovely nice fresh hotel with well styled room and modern big bathroom. Very helpful young lady at reception/breakfast. Breakfast was really good. We had also very good dinner at La Croix Blanche. About Spa we heard nothing. Had also short walk around the village, it's really pretty one with many flowers!

The breakfast was amazing and you could actually order extra dishes (crepes or even more complicated ones) from a menu for no additional charges. We were also offered a bottle of champagne upon arrival and used the Hotel SPA (with an extra cost) which was reserved only for us for one hour

Breakfast rather late for us..8.30 (we were hiking in the heat) but they did leave us some croissants and fruit.A shame though as we had looked forward to it.
Lovely spacious bedroom. Super king size bed. Sauna and jacuzzi bath which we didn't use but great shower.

Very tasteful and comfortable modern design, with helpful multilingual staff. Good restaurant attached and fabulous hikes close by. Great little spa area.

If you are using Google.maps to navigate (or- a car with built in navigation that uses google maps), ignore what it tells you once you reach the town. It will have you navigate around streets that are far too small for a vehicle..even down a flight of steps. This is particularly relevant if you approach from the south. Stay on main road until you find restaurant Croix Blanche (on your right from south) . Park opposite.
Once we had found it, it was a very nice hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Great stopover in summer and may be a good place for hiking and skiing

Warm welcome, comfortable room, minute-made breakfast à la carte - the Maison Bertin continues to provide top-notch guest-oriented accommodation and it feels great! This family-owned hotel is now in the capable hands of the young son of the family, whose dedication to his guests is absolutely outstanding. Every little request of ours was met with benevolence and we had been left truly wanting for nothing. Surely a favourite of ours and we are much looking forward to our many stays to come!

Bicycle storage room required carrying bicycles on stairs.
Very nice and quite room. Friendly and helpful staff! New facility. Large modern bathroom. Excellent selection of tea in a room. Sparkling wine as a welcome gift.

Great spacious and comfortable rooms. The spa was wonderful and we were provided with free champagne which was a nice touch. Wonderful and attentive staff. Would completely recommend!

Parking is limited in this medieval village, if you don't find a spot in front of the hotel do not worry and go to the municipal parking 1 min walking distance
Amazing having the spa area all for us privately, breakfast quality over quantity, the staff is extremely friendly, rooms are very nice, we did not try the restaurant but it also looked great

Stylish hotel in an old family home. Beautiful room, excellent breakfast (full English) and best: private Spa is included in price. Best to reserve in advance.

Their was no way to cool the room down overnight.
Very nice Hotel and restaurant and ideal for access to the St Bernard Tunnel.
