The owner was awesome, incredibly helpful and even drove us to the Pompei UNESCO entrance, plus for a very fair fee, took us to the Naples airport.

Not a central location

Our stay at Hotel Maiuri was very pleasant. The room was lovely and clean. We booked a taxi to the ruins as we had a tour booked. The hotel manager drove us and showed us all the hi lights of Pompeii which was very kind. The ruins were amazing by the way. There was a restaurant opposite which served great food for dinner.

The staff were exceptionally polite and friendly. We were so well looked after, it made our visit even more comfortable. A quiet location but an easy walk to the ruins made it an ideal base. And drinking wine on the balcony in the evening in view of Vesuvius was a delight!

In a busy place, our room had great views. Excellent windows meant none of the hustle and bustle disturbed us at night. The palazzo was beautiful, with lots of original features. The room was modern with a very comfortable bed. Great location for exploring the city, with lots of points of interest nearby and good bars and restaurants

The staff were amazing and were so helpful. The breakfast was lovely and the option to eat in side or in the little garden was lovely. We were close enough to walk to the train and the ruins. Everything was just perfect! I will recommend this to everyone.

Location wise would recommend a taxi if coming from the ruins - it’s a good 35/40 minute walk otherwise.

We were given an upgrade on arrival which was fab. Room very clean & recently modernised. Staff were fantastic. Went above & beyond. Especially the receptionist who was able to help answer all our questions & book us a taxi for the morning. Breakfast fab & brilliant staff. A great stay.

Good breakfast: brown bread (!), cheese and ham, scrambled and poached eggs, bacon... A nice change to the boring (too) sweet Italian breakfast. Nice rooms. Good durability score made us choose this hotel.

I was charged for the water which is complimentary in most hotels these days and the walk to the town centre was about 15 - 20 minutes. A bit far if you had spent a day sightseeing.

We had an absolutely amazing time at the Hotel Maiuri Pompei. Travelling 4 adults, we booked two twin rooms. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and newly refurbished rooms and bathrooms with good size balconies and a view of Vesuvius. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a huge variety of options; fresh fruit, croissants, variety of traditional breakfast cakes, hot breakfast (eggs, bacon …) and cold meat & cheese selection, freshly cooked bread. Have to mention coffee was superb. The staff were very attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you especially to Andrea. Andrea gave us great advice of which places to visit in the area and helped with transportation to get to Almalfi coast when public transport was on strike. We didn't have a car but hotel location was perfect for us. Quiet location, just 15 min walk from city centre, train station, restaurants and bars. It worked perfectly for us. Pompei is a wonderful place but we also visited Naples, Solerno, Almalfi & Positano.

The rooms were clean. Simple and tasty breakfast. Parking available on site although the number of available spots seemed quite small. But I think this is the case everywhere in Italy.
