Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe keys collection was easy and smooth. Yes the place where to collect the keys is far from the property but that is clearly stated in the announcment. The location of the property is great, the size of the room and bathroom is perfectly suitable for two adults. Yes it is a bit noisy, but the apartment is on one of the main streets of turin, which can be quite noisy sometimes, but never too late in the night or too early in the morning. The value for money is not optimal because despite the good location, the house was not properly cleaned before my arrival (if it was cleaned at all), there was signs of the people that were staying before me (hairs, dust, more hairs), the kitchen tools (pans, pots, electric stove) were old and ruined and I preferred to not cook my food in it. Overall a 6/10, if you are willing to eat your meals outside everytime and if you are not too picky, this could be an okay place to stay. For the same price tho you might find something 100m further from the center but with better facilities in the house.

SlovakiaHowever we went during Eurovision so it was extremely overpriced (we understand it tho), still the price 70€/night for that was horrible. It wasnt the least comfortable apartment we could have got, but it certainly could have been better. The bed was small for us and bathroom was like 2x1 meters. Plus you have to pick up the keys at totally different adress. Even tho we got instructions, it was like playing Boyard.. and we got lost 3 times at 1am.
The location was perfect, literally 3 minutes away from the city centre, all the shops and things worth to see. We had amazing view from the window, probably the best we could have had in Torino. The owner of the apartmant was so nice, communicated with us the whole time when we had a problem.

FranceTerribly uncomfortable bed !! You should change the bed and mattress. It's an old sofa bed with a very bad mattress. . I had a backache after the 2 nights I stayed there. It's the minimum to have a good bed to host people. Also, I had to go get the keys of the flat at a ladie's place at night in another part of town. I found it a bit strange that it was me who had to go to her place to get the keys and then go back to the flat where I was staying.
The landlord gave me clear indications for my arrival and the lady who gave me the keys was very friendly and helpful (she kept something for during a few days).

It is not an Attico, but an old Cave cold and humid to use like a storage, without permit of living probably from the Comune of Torino. It is a storage, not for humans… In Sommer time it is not possible to stay there at all because the window isn’t possible to open. Mr. Cossu (the owner) must ask to the Comune of Torino the permit of living (now it is illegal and abusive to live there I think). Full of Spiders big and dangerous like on the picture. The electricity fell down in the night and I had to do five floors to find on the basement the right device-because it is not possible to use the stove together with the heater (so be adviced and careful because you must go 5 floors downstairs, call mr. Cossu to find the right device). Also taking the keys was in a very dangerous area (2 bad people asking me for money in the neighborhood near the station). The keys are inside very old safes and boxes and to move the numbers of combination is not easy because the numbers move together at the same time and the boxes are old! Da impazzire prendere le chiavi! I think the studio has not permit of living (it is only a storage) that’s why mr. Cossu let take the keys in an other place because he can not put the boxes with safes in via Garibaldi (probably he fears that the neighbors can report it to the police, because these are storages; it sounds ridiculous to call it Mansarda or Attico!!!!)

Czech RepublicIt is right under the roof, so it is in the highest floor (5. I think), but it really is not that bad, only problem would be, if you have giant luagage.
This place is located in the city center, so it's really convinient, because there is no need to buy tickets for transport, everything is in walkable distance. The place is great, photos are accurate, it's nothing big, but exactly what you need, if you're visiting Torino. There is also a kitchen with some basic utilities.
