Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicThe wifi was not working consistently. You had to login several times a day. They need to do a hot spot for you so it is not just about login and password. The cleaning of the apartment was just once in the middle of the stay which was not sufficient but you could sweep by yourself which was ok. Just the bed sheets gets dirty from the send. There was not enough toilet paper as we received it only in beginning of the stay and it was not refilled. There are just 3 last rows on the beach reserved for the guest of Mare Blue Residence. If you want place in 2 rows nearest to the sea, they ask 8 Eur per day for first row, 6 Eur per day for second row. The rest is for Park Hotel so you end up back. It is inconvenient once one kid wants to rest and second is still playing at the sea. You can't see properly to the place at the end of the beach with umbrellas. The lifegards at the sea are speaking Italian only. They do understand little bit English but it is very limited. They do not speak German. There are 2 toilets at the beach and the key should be with the lifegard but sometimes there are no keys as people are not returning them.
Great specious apartment with nice specious balcony. Air condition in every room. You find almost everything you need for cooking in the kitchen-plates, glasses, pots, pens, knife etc. The area of the apartment is great and safe. It is in quiet locality near to the sea. There are very nice and friendly people on the reception. They do provide a safety equipment for kids not to fall from the bunk bed. There is private parking area provided. The pool is great and clean. There is a lifeguard almost the whole day. You have one umbrella and 2 chairs on the private beach at the sea and free umbrellas and chairs by the pool. The beach is very well maintained. The sea grass was regularly cleaned away. There was little playground and place to store big floating equipment. You could leave send toys at your place over night. There were showers provided but you have to use a key. Bond for key is 5 Eur.

AustriaA/C very weak! Sea at the hotel beach was dirty. Qualification of staff differed depending on who was in charge. On our arrival there were two young ladies who were obviously happy that we speak some basic italian. They explained to us that we had to use the elevator at the rear end of the hotel and not the one near the entrance (which was next to our appartment btw), so we had to carry our suitcases all the way through the hotel and back to our room only to find out later that the front elevator was working and there was no sign whatsoever stating that it was out of order. After arrival we wanted to have a shower when we found out there were only a few tiny towels for the bidet and nothing sufficient to dry yourself after having a shower. So I went to the front desk, where the two young ladies tried to tell me I had to pay for the towels. As this is ridiculous and I was not willing to discuss this in a language I barely know I switched into English. All they told me was "buy a package". I am not sure what they wanted to tell me? After telling them that I expect them to provide me with the basic stuff they called someone on the phone and I had to follow one of them in the lower floor through the garage into a room full of stuff, where she -still on the phone - kept searching pile after pile of stuff before generously handing me some towels. What annoyed us the most was that it was obvious that people who were not residents of the hotel came to use the pool during the day. We saw families with kids and in one case a group of teenagers. One of these days we did not get a sunbed at the pool as it was occupied by non-residents. They were clearly friends with the staff, chatting with them. When we once addressed this with the front desk staff, they said, oh yes they are all relatives of the owner. This is very unprofessional.
The appartment we rented and its terrace were spacious, the appartment itself was clean. Hotel guests have an umbrella and sunbeds at the beach area of another hotel . During pool hours there was always a person in charge for the pool.
