How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Small hotel with great view from our room and breakfast area. Lovely breakfast. Location was good out of small main town. Can walk to restaurants or catch a bus

Quality for price...but Amalfi is expensive, so this was expected.
We stayed in the room with a balcony overlooking the sea - lovely views and spacious room. The hotel was perfectly located for visiting Marina di Praia (+boats from there to the other beaches such as Lido on Fire). 10/15min walk into the other side of town. This area is a bit more quiet which is great + big parking space (for Amalfi standards) next to the hotel. The staff was super nice (even giving us a ride to a wedding venue!). Breakfast was Italian, don't expect a big buffet ;)

It was difficult to get around. The hotel is on the main road, which is quite busy. We appreciated that two of the restaurants we visited had their own shuttle service. The experience of staying here would have been greatly enhanced if the hotel incorporated their own shuttle.
The views were incomparable. Sitting on the terrace and soaking in the views was delightful. The breakfasts were lovely with delicious eggs and coffee served to order.

You could park and be flexible to come and go for free as it was rarely full but the property asks for you to pay if you wish to come and go. If guests cannot find space to park when returning then that's their issue rather than the hotels

It would be nice to have a shuttle service from hotel to positano and amalfi.
Staff is so kind and gentle, they tell you everything you need to know about the place and amalfi coast, how to spend your time in the most efficient way. The breakfast is delicious and the views are wonderful. We enjoyed our stay alot

We went for a quiet relaxing holiday and that was exactly what we got. The scenic views are superb and it is spotlessly clean. I have honestly never met staff that were as helpful and friendly, they always had time to give advice or help in any way E.g booking restaurants, advice on taking trips, etc.

This is a great family run business who genuinely care for their guests. Antonio helps to understand what you want to do whilst staying with them and helps you to find the best options. The facilities are very clean and well looked after with amazing views. Great location and will. Stay here again. Highly recommend.

My only suggestion is for all Amalfi coast to have any transport prebooked especially when in Praiano or other locations without a ferry. Although we would stay in Praiano again over Amalfi or Positano as it had a less busy and touristy feel.

Too many stairs with no elevator. Not a very walkable location. The internet was weak and terrible. The lighting in the room was poor. The rooms need updating too.
The view was amazing. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great breakfast on outstanding outside patio with beautiful view. Senior Antonio was super helpful and had great tips for making the best out of our stay. We followed his recommendations and they were all truly perfect for us :-)
