Our room had a plumbing problem with no cold water available from the taps, making it harder to achieve a good temperature balance for washing, shaving and showering.

I liked the location, beautiful buildings and grounds, the breakfast with lovely outdoor patio and surrounding olive groves. Also the silence at night and attentive staff.

Internet connection in Rm 21 was very poor, likely because this room is farthest from the central router.

Breakfast very good and varied. Coffee was excellent and readily made for you. Very attractive room and patio.

Room was nothing special, a bit empty looking. Alarm in room was always clicking when you move and not possible to turn it off. Not so much light in the room. Dinner options not so big, bit pricy for what you get.

Place is sorrounded with a forest of olive trees, beautifu. Pool nice, even we did not used it. Nice location, close to Ostuni. Staff polite and friendly.

This is not the fault of the Masseria, which is set deep in the olive groves 1.2km from the main road into Ostuni, but the only way for me to get there was by taxi which would have been a problem if I had been staying longer than two nights. As a pescatarian I was a bit disappointed in the menu which was not large and was very limited in vegetarian dishes. The same for lunch as dinner, and nothing on Tuesdays - which was unfortunate because it had been in my plan to have lunch there between checking out and moving on to my next stay.

Having an Aperol Spritz in the evenings at the table on my covered and sheltered patio. Any adjectives in praise can go before the noun! The pool. The staff. My room (No: 9). The service. The breakfasts. The solitude. The grounds. The dining-room. The toiletries. Did I leave anything out? Oh - the family of cats and their kittens!

They should provide a complementary bottle of water in the room. The breakfast could be improved, the homemade bread was very hard, and croissants chewy.

The main Masseria, swimming pool, and the grounds are beautiful. The location is very convenient between Ostuni and the sea.

The menu in the restaurant was a bit limited, so we had pretty much chosen all the dishes we wanted to try after a couple of visits. The wi-fi was a little weak, which became a problem for viewing the online menu. The QR Code menu seems to be universal in this part of Italy, which is OK if you have good wi-fi and good phone skills, but is really annoying, in our opinion.

Very helpful staff throughout, especially at Reception and in the Restaurant. Good spread at breakfast, though we found the menu a bit limited for dinner after a couple of visits. Pool area was well maintained, though the water was a little chilly, even after weeks/months of hot weather. Loved being able to wander off into the olive groves and just commune with nature!

We left some crackers on the table in our room for 1 hour when we went to the pool, and when we returned we had ants in our room. It was our fault- we should have wrapped up the food before leaving.

The property is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. It’s located near the main highway so it was easy to do day trips to the surrounding towns, however it is positioned at the end of a long road that is surrounded with olive trees so it feels very secluded. The room was nice, clean, and had AC that worked great (which you don’t always find in Italy). We enjoyed the pool and the olive oil tour/tasting on site. The restaurant food and service were wonderful- we ate there for many meals. Also, there was ample parking for all guests. Highly recommend!

There were 12 mosquitos waiting for us in the room and bathroom when we arrived. I would kindly suggest that you equip every room with mosquito repellent plug in because this is very annoying.

Very little could be better, A bottle opener in our kitchen was all that was missing.

The staff are superb, attentive and friendly. Breakfast at Masseria Valente is a joy, sitting in the walled garden terrace as the sun warms the orange trees with a great choice of home made savoury and sweet pastries, cold cuts and cheese, delicious bread, a choice of eggs and homemade orange and lemon jams with excellent coffee. The pool is superbly designed and laid out, offering lots of space, greenery, Olive and Figs trees all around and a gently slopping pool. We combine eating in Ostuni with lunches and evening meals in the Masseria. Superb staff and delicious, homemade food from scratch using all local ingredients.

Loved the olive trees in the surrounding area. The pool was beautiful. The villa was comfortable and clean. The staff were helpful and pleasant.
