Nice room in a nice location. We could make tea and coffee whenever we wanted. We got new bottles of water every day. Maria was very nice and helpful, It would be better to have bathroom inside the room but it was big and with massage bath:o)

The bathroom was separate of the bedroom. Speaking of bathroom, mine didn’t even have a support to hang it on the wall or even had a shower door/curtain.

the bathroom didn’t have a shower holder. it was more a jakuzzi kind of shower and there was no Protective glass to prevent water from splashing all over the bathroom

The bathroom is outside of the room, and the bathtub had broken hydro heads (plastic just fell out). At night it was a bit too cold (April).

The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was big and cosy. Very close to Vatican city. Breakfast included, I mean a coffee/tea and a croissant outside the property in a bar 10 minute away. The owner was very kind.

The shower was terrible, too high up and pressure was awful. We seemed to be the only ones in the guest house. Didn’t like that there was no staff to see throughout the day apart from a cleaner when we were out of the room.

Closeness to the main attractions, bed was comfortable.

A place without heat we get a small heatter after we asked it, your breakfast, it was outside of the building and you never find it open at 8:30 the choice it was onlying a coffee, a croissant and one egg (scrambled). The place needs a little more care. The title has to change to GEST HOUSE & not apparent. Even the towels were so old and used. If you pick it, do not take a car there is noway to find parking nearby the only place that you can park is on the square 800m away and the cost was 40-50€ /day. If I knew all this, I would pick a different place regardless of the cost

The location was pretty good, so close to everything. It's very near to Vatican city and the river.

It was on the 5th floor of an apartment building in a side street, but we had a hard time finding it and since our phones were not answered, we called the hotel for 20 minutes. They gave us a card for breakfast and said we could buy whatever we wanted from the cafe, but the cafe said we could only buy croissants and cappuccino. Breakfast is included but not :)

There was no shower it had a shower handle connected to barth and you have to hold the shower handle up while you have a shower. And you only get fresh towels ever second day. Breakfast was included which was only one coffee and a croissant and we had to walk around the block to have our breakfast it was not in the same building 😞.

There is no privacy with the separate toilet. You need to pass by the other room in order to go to the toilet. I have to always carry the key with me to lock the toilet up as well as the room which was not comfy in the middle of the night. The room is extremely small and it was difficult to move around.

The location is perfect and close to most popular sights. The staff were helpful and welcoming.

cheap transformation of an apartment into rentals rooms. Rooms don’t even have normal doors, just barely holding sliding ones giving the feeling of insecurity. Poorly insulated windows, no AC, 5th floor translate into unbearable temperatures at night. The electric wiring is a fire hazard because of modifications done by an amateur.

Our room at Matilde’s was very nice and in a great location in Rome. They went over and above in assisting us to find transportation to the airport and were so kind in letting us leave our luggage in the room even after we had checked out so that we were able to go and explore Rome some more without our bags. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we would be happy to stay there again.
