The rooms are defenitely out of date and not clean. Many defects, especially the furniture - the photos on the website look way better than in reality. Price/quality ratio not good. We booked a room for three people but they forgot to prepare the sofa.

The breakfast was ok/good and the staff was friendly. The location is amazing

The manager was extremely rude and not accommodating to guest seeking a cup of tea and charged us nearly $60 AUD for teas and desert, beware of the restaurant attached to the hotel, it is very expensive for guests.

They lady at reception was fantastic and really helpful with advising on tourist locations. Assisting with water taxi bookings on the final day.

Breakfast was lousy. Rain through ceiling. Very noisy ventilation channel made it verry hard to sleep. 30s silence and 5s noise throughout the night.

There were no bottles with water in a room. Very bad soundproofing. There was woolen blanket instead of normal duvet.

We stayed in Messner Palace Hotel for 1 night. In overall the stay was good! The localisation is wonderful! The personel was also very helpful and friendly. To our surprise all personel speak English very well.

The hotel is a bit tired. The bathroom was really shabby. I have stayed in better places in Venice for similar costs. However, it was Carnevale so things were at a premium

This hotel is quite nice if you plan to travel alone and just to sleep. The price is relatively high for this quality. However, regarding the family staying - no, unfortunately, this hotel is not applicable for family, the family room is relatively small and noisy, breakfast is poor and not a lot of capacity for choosing, and plates and cutlery were dirty. The bathroom also is not nice completed as a real bathroom. For winter, this bedroom doesn't have a nice heating system, it should be fixed asap. The staff of hotel is not super friendly who not really want to help you, it is super poor quality for a hotel that has 4 stars. This hotel is not 4 stars, max 2 stars!!! Just the location is so close to some sightseeing, that's it regarding the advantages, all are disadvantages.

The room was very cold. After entering the room the receptionist turned on the air conditioning in order to warm the room, however it didn’t work. We slept in our hats.. Next day they fixed the air conditioner but it worked only when we were in the room. It didn’t help much. The water was warm only from time to time, the best time to take a shower was around 7 in the morning, later the water was barely warm, it was hard to relax in such conditions.

Central heating was switched off, but air conditioning has to stay all the time on full power and makin very loud noise. If switched off, heat gone through holes in seconds. Bathroom was filling like Antarctica and hot water coming only time to time...

Mosquitoes get repellent! Noisy AC which made very loud clunky noises every two hours (contributed to lack of sleep)

Very old furniture and bathroom facilities. Shower curtain, super small and not suitable for a four star hotel.

Location of the hotel very close to Guggenheim Museum. The waitress at the morning buffet was lovely!

One if the rooms a bit too small, the shower worked but needed to be changed.

Easy to reach by boat, as soon as you learned the distance to the other side of Venice, access to touristic locations became even easier.

Staff at the reception could be more welcoming upon arrival, like smiling and verbal welcome you. (The girl was very good and friendly) Breakfast was nothing to forward to... When arrived for the breakfast there was no coffee, no bread, no juice and no bowls for the serials. Staff got irritated when asked for the empty items on the buffet. There were NO eggs and bacon. After some time also out of croissants! No prober A/C in the reception area and restuarent = hot. The A/C in the rooms were struggling to keep up with the 37 degrees outside.
