How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

This is the perfect place for a great stay in Rome. The rooms are very comfortable and impeccably clean, with all the amenities you may need. The common kitchen area is very cosy and ideal for a snack 😋 Could not ask more about the location - only few minutes by walk from the Vatican and all the other sights; great restaurants and gelato just around the corner 😊 And last but not least - Roberto is the perfect host - he met us right in the morning when we arrived, let us leave the luggage at the place, recommended a nice place for breakfast and by noon our room was ready for us😊 Would definitely come by to stay in this place if we are lucky to visit Rome again ❤️

Roberto was a great host, he helped us with everything we needed. The room was cleaned daily, we had the possibility to leave our luggage there before check-in and after check-out. Coffee machine and some sweets in the room. Also, in the common space you could find everyday some cake and fruit. Great place to explore Rome.

Perfect location for tourists. It's about 10 min. from St. Peter's Basilica. We almost didn't use public transport. Nearby is a great pizzeria and a supermarket. The host is an amazing guy! We'll be back!

There is a big, nice, window, but when you open the window, the bakery below (in the same building on the first floor) is emitting all kind of smells, but no fresh air (the thing that you want to have in your room when you open the windows). The hot water is coming 5 minutes after you start the shower (and you probably wasting a lot of water during the wait for the hot water to come).
The location is one of the best ones that I have ever had a chance to be. I is on 800 meters from the Vatican City and I was able to visit it even with my mother (65) and my father (70).

Nothing. Everything was perfect!
Roberto is a wonderful host! Very friendly and caring for his guest's needs (he helped us book a taxi and made great recommendations). The room is super comfortable, quiet, clean and bright, with great amenities and complimentary food available. Located in a very nice neighborhood, well connected with the metro and close to good restaurants and a main road for shopping. Would definitely recommend and go back in my next trip to Rome!

Everything was great!
Super location and lovely room- home away from home! Very close proximity to the nearest metro station Ottaviano, airport shuttle bus, and of course, to Vatican.

Fantastic location, near Vatican City and with two very good restaurants within 50 metres. The family room was spacious and comfy with excellent facilities in the room and the communal areas. Breakfast was included but the food available went beyond that, including amazing cakes!

Our room was a bit small. Its double bed occupied about all the space available. It was a room fit for sleep, but not for relaxation.
MiRhome is an apartment converted into B&B. We were free to use the well equipped kitchen any time, and it was stocked with refreshments of various kinds. The bathroom and shower was excellent, well maintained and clean.

If I have to point smth out then, water pipes made sounds when using the toilet or the shower, but it didnt actually bother us.
Host was very friendly and met us in front of the house since we arrived late in the evening. Very good quiet location. Great restaurants near by. Walking distance to everywhere, very close to Vatican, but we even walked to the Colosseum (50minutes). Minifridge on the room that was filled every day. There is no actual breakfast but you can have all day joghurts, toast with ham and cheese, coffee, juices, water, sweets, fruits. That was great to make a morning coffee and have a snack before we went out to have great late breakfast near by restaurants. Beds were comfy, air conditioning was working smoothly.

This place is well equipped, you will find everything you need there. The room has all the necessary amenities, the self service breakfast option is very interesting! the owner is nice, helpful, available and gives a lot of information about the area and Rome. the location is very good, close to the subway and the vatican, it's completely safe

The shower door was a bit flimsy
The neighborhood was amazing , lots of cafes and restaurants that locals also used. The beds were comfy, the air conditioning and location led to a lovely quiet night's sleep.
