Expense from train station to hotel using taxi service. However this was caused partly by being misinformed in regard to taxis being available at the station which generally they are not and need to be pre-booked. However staff at hotel sorted this for us.

Great start to the day, Staff second to none very attentive and friendly. Food well presented and delicious.

Our room was large and comfortable however we were sad not to have tea/coffee making facilities in our room or somewhere else in the hotel such as a lounge area perhaps. It is also a problem for people with restricted mobility to have the shower within the bathtub.

We enjoyed our stay at Monastero di Cortona Hotel although it was a little tricky to access because it is situated high on the hill within the walls of Cortona. There is parking available at the hotel for an extra (quite large)sum, however the streets to access that parking are VERY steep and narrow. Parking outside the walls of Cortona is at a premium and it is very hard to find a spot - I can't imagine what it would be like in the high season! (Impossible!) We loved the breakfast which was fresh and made to order from a menu rather than the buffet typical of many other hotels, and all the staff are an absolute delight.

I liked everything 😀

I do not know where to begin! 😀 The hotel, surroundings and the location 10/10! The staff is very firendly, kind and always smiling so the atmosphere is very nice! They were very helpful with my gluten free diet (I am coeliac) and they gave us a great recommendations for Cortona attractions 😀 The balcony with the pool is divine with a spectacular view of the village. Breakfast at the balcony is a five star experience 😀

it is not easy to reach with the car due to very narrow roads in the city. . however, if you check their web site for driving instructions to hotel, then life becomes easy.😉

The views of the countryside are very limited. We selected our room for the view and were very happy with it, but it might not have been very private during summer pool season. There is no view from the restaurant.

Breakfast was amazing. Staff were so friendly and helpful with everything, including helping us book dinner reservations offsite. Service was incredible. The views and patio facilities were soooo nice. Spa was very enjoyable.

This is hands down one of the best hotel experiences you can have in Italy, we spent 3 weeks in Italy and stayed in 10 hotels, this is by far the best! The hotel facilities/location/quality is all second to none. The staff are very welcoming and do all they can to make the stay special. Breakfast is like nothing else, you should call it high team what an unbelievable experience a real 5* stay, we will be back with out question

It was hard to get there in a rental car, but that’s because we weren’t used to driving on tiny, steep roads!

We loved the property! The staff was wondering, our room was great, and the breakfast was fabulous. Would definitely stay again!

We had a car and even though they arranged parking , we were lost. Wish they would offer paid valley. The hotel was wonderful and ended up meeting us at the public parking but it would have been less stressful if that was arranged in advance. Just a suggestion

No particular complaints , I only found it very expensive , I would think the spa would be free for guests , instead you have to pay extra 35 euros per person

Maybe a little sign post on the entrance to the hotel once you get through the walls, the staff guided us in, we got a little lost.

Fantastic breakfast, excellent spa treatments and pool area. Beautiful location, very relaxing. Staff very helpful and recommended a perfect place for dinner that was exceptional.
