Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

LatviaIf you travel by car-this is great place to stay. If you travel by bus-it's complicated to get to the property because public transport and taxis are almost impossible to catch. And if you get into public transport, you need to go by highway about 10min.
Ranata is really nice lady. The property was very clean, big kitchen,big bathroom,comfortable bed. Renata drove us to nearest train station with her car.

PolandHouse is located just next to a motorway and even with closed windows is really noisy. Also there is only one shared bathroom for 3 independent rooms
Super friendly host Renata, welcomed us already the front of the house. The house is bit old but in really good shape.

Switzerland- Room was (too) cold at this time of the year (April) - Location is next to a busy street with a lot of traffic - noise - Complicated booking administration (aside from the room payment which is easily paid to booking.com, a deposit is charged - but the deposit is not just deducted from the credit card, to pay it, as separate registration is necessary (and the link to this did not work). And there is a handling fee which gets deducted from the deposit once its reimbursed - Not enough warm water for showering (even though there were only 3 guests other than us)
- Overall about ok for the price paid with some points that can be improved (see below)

ItalyWe had a traumatising check in experience. Our flight was massively delayed and we notified both the management company as well as the property owner. The latter “welcomed” us screaming when we arrived and was extremely rude…she probably forgot that we already paid the property back in April for a reservation in July so she should have better refrained from treating guest like that… No need extend my complaint about the location. Literally on the highway, with constant background cars noise throughout the night. After we checked out we got surprised that we were indeed deducted money from the deposit which were required to pay in advance, despite the reservation was already paid. Make yourself a favour: STAY AWAY from this and enjoy other accommodations in Lucca!
Not much. It was the cheapest accommodation I could found around Lucca. But considering the poor experience, if I could go back I would pay for a more expensive accommodation to avoid Morianese Residence

United KingdomStay away. You need to read all other reviews, they are all very correct. This a scammer, as soon as you book he will ask for 80€ deposit per person and you will never get back. Also, if you message the hostel he will only copy and post one sentence „IF YOU DON‘T PAY THEY WILL NOT ENTER THE PROPERTY“ Also , I tried to Phone them for 2 days they never answered. I am very surprised that booking com let this kind of scammer on their listing.

United KingdomStay away form this place. They demand the deposit from you prior to arrival (which I have never came across when making reservations through booking), by threatening you will not be checked in if you won't, to than deduct hideous amounts from it. Eg. We have booked the place because it allows pets and there was no info about extra charges, they've however deducted a €10 fee for a pet from our deposit. We have also agreed prior to arrival we will be arriving late and it was confirmed via whaysapp msg and again not mentioned any extra charges (again they've deducted €15 late check in fee from our deposit) When we were leaving 2 days later, we have signed the papers 30min after their check out time only beacuse we've been packing our car outside the property and the lady owner was cleaning other rooms and didn't seem to be bothered to give them to us, however €15 late check out fee was deducted from our deposit, which resulted with extra €40 extra charges on the top of what we've paid for our room already. The address is incorrect and it takes you to completely different place but the owner says it happens all the time but is very helpful and gives you directions. All the extra fees were not mentioned to us before arrival or during our stay but emailed to us as an invice and deducted from our deposit without any confirmation. I'm actually shocked Booking.com allows such practices, as nothing is mentioned in the property description at all. This place is very run down, the sheets in the rooms didn't seem fresh, there was loads of spider webs on the beds, windows and cabinets. it's next to the rail tracks and motorway, and is so loud at night you can't sleep. Windows won't close and are so thin theyre shaking with every passing car and train. When we've arrived there was no electricity and we've even checked in in the dark.
There was nothing to like in this place.

Hungarythe house is near a highway and if you don’t have car it is a very dangerous place to reach house. I almost got hit by the car when I wanted to go to the center. they will ask a huge amount of money as damage deposit but they won’t give it back to you and they will charge you more! when I messaged the manager he blocked me without answering! the house was super cold but when I asked for heat of course didn’t answer me! the owner is nice but she cannot speak English. we were nice and friendly and they were too but it seems I was scammed! be careful.

The kindness and helpfulness of the Morianese Residence owners is just wonderful. We really enjoyed our time there and are very happy to have met them! Everything was kept very clean by the lady of the house.
