Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Great service from the moment of booking, Orsola arranged a transfer from the airport and greeted us when we arrived and took us to the hotel and showed us how to enter the premises, use the lift etc. (1st for us, lift requires a 20c coin to operate, but we were given a purse with plenty of coins in on arrival) Room was spacious and clean. breakfast was delivered to the room each morning to then enjoy on the terrace overlooking the City. Whenever we return to the city i wouldn’t look anywhere else and book straight back in here.

Czech RepublicWe had breakfast included and it was OK, however the way it is provided - right in your room - is not ideal. It works, but not how I imagined it would be done.
The location is perfect - just in the heart of Napoli. Staff is friendly and helpful.

United KingdomEvery morning the hotel provides you with breakfast which is sweet pastries (croissants and similar) and in your room you can also find some cheese, ham and jam, yoghurt and biscuits, juice, etc. I found this breakfast to be repetitive and not very healthy. After the first morning my body was craving something not so sugary and processed.
The location is the best in town, you are within walking distance to all main attractions. Very clean and nice room, lovely shower, the hotel provides you with toiletries and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Orsola (the receptionist) is kind and friendly, she provided us with lots of information and was very helpful.

United StatesThe shower was awesome, but it was a little small. Also, while you could not hear any of the noise coming from outside on the street, you could hear everything going on in the hall.
I loved the location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was perfect for a solo traveler.

SpainThere are two things which I think they could work on: The first one is a detail, but they don't fill up the toiletries every day. On the third day, I had almost no soap left to shower. The second thing is more important: The doors to the rooms are very "light" sliding doors – they are basically just panels. They are not sound-proof, and actually, there is space between the floor and the door (at night, I had to come out of the room and manually turn off the bright light in the corridor, otherwise I could see it underneath the door). If you are a heavy sleeper, this won't have any implications for you. But for a light sleeper, like I am, it can get quite inconvenient: The single room is the last one in the corridor, and is in front of the door to the terrace, which is open 24/7. This means that if you are lucky and the fellow guests are quiet and don't use the terrace too late nor too early, you can sleep. If you don't, good luck. Also, the single room is located right next to the open kitchenette. Therefore, you hear the person preparing breakfast at 7h. Mind you, I was very grateful, because although it woke me, I could tell the employee was trying his very best to be quiet (I am a super light sleeper). However, on my third morning, the receptionist, for whatever reason, kept on coming up and down the stairs and going to the kitchen (thus passing in front of the room) again and again, with her high heels on the marble floor... She also decided to do the dishes...at 8h30 with a guest sleeping behind a thin door one meter away. I thought it was quite inconsiderate – she is there from 8h to 19h, surely she could have waited to make all that noise. Apart from that, I did very much enjoy my stay and will probably be back.
The place looks fantastic – feels brand new, very sleek, beautifully designed, convenient, modern, and the cleanliness is beyond perfect. I loved my warm welcome by Orsola, again the cleanliness, all the complementary snacks in the room (there are just so many!), the small kitchen appliances in the room (kettle, cereal-dispenser, panini-maker, coffee machine, milk frother, etc.). It seemed like they thought of everything, it's quite impressive! The room is comfortable and bright (because of the two skylights, which are the only "windows", but which open and close with remotes – all very modern and practical). The water pressure in the shower was great. Also, the single bed is actually a small double, and not a super tiny single bed like you would usually get in Italy. It is on the softer side, but very comfortable. The room is tiny (bathroom is very big though, almost as big as the sleeping area), but overall I was very happy with its features. Moreover, they have an amazing 360 degrees rooftop terrace, with a stunning, unobstructed view on Mount Vesuvius (quite hard to find in Naples). Lastly, the location is, in my opinion, unbeatable: in the heart of Quartieri Spagnoli (but not too deep into them), yet quiet because on the top floor.

United KingdomThis is a could have been better as there wasn't anything not to like: the rooms are set into the roof, it rained heavily both nights we stayed, this made for lot of noise. Breakfast is DIY, it can be taken to a rooftop terrace but there's only your room if it's raining... The breakfast items were all packaged, disappointing given the city's reputation for fresh pastries. You'll read other comments with regard to the lift, it's quirky but works just fine
We loved this beautifully appointed top floor suite of rooms right in the centre of Naples' Spanish Quarter. The staff could not have been more helpful, the room was clean with a good sized bathroom
