The Nero Gioconda hotel is situated right in the heart of the old historic centre of Anghiari, the view from the windows overs the Tuscan countryside were spectacular. The room itself was well proportioned with a beautiful modern bathroom, the bed was comfy and the complimentary coffee and water was a nice touch. I've included a picture of the view from my room.

We weren't a fan of the essential oil diffuser in the room, and hid it during our stay. Everything else was great.

Erica was a wonderful host. We ended up with a suite, not a room, and the view from the bedroom was absolutely magnificent. The place was well-stocked and very clean. When we ended up leaving our bag behind in a restaurant, Erica drove out to pick it up and locate us on the street. Above and beyond, and very sweet. Whne I come back to Anghiari, I will be staying at Nero Gioconda.

I can see why this place gets such amazing reviews and scores. It is an exceptional place to stay, superb value for money, with a very generous host. I have never seen so many coffee sachets (normally I have buy extra myself!)

I was delighted to find that our room at Nero Giaconda was a small apartment. It was well equipped and included a variety of treats as well as cooking essentials. It has a fantastic view from the bedroom window. Erica was really lovely and flexible and we were able to check in early. Anghiari is a beautiful town with good restaurants.

Erica is a wonderful hostess—friendly, accommodating, helpful. The rooms and the common areas are full of clever, delightful touches. And one could not find a more authentic location in beautiful Anghiari. A perfect way to experience this charming town.

I stayed at this lovely place the night before my wedding. Erica went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable the night before my big day. She kindly upgraded me into the self contained flat next door so I had more privacy. The place was clean, had a mosquito net, good air conditioning and was well located in Anghiari. My wife and I both agreed that when we return to Anghiari then we would not hesitate to stay there.

Erica was the kindest person I've met in a long time.. from first communication to reception and all other support, all was perfect. The only problem is, she raised my bar for what to expect and what is possible from other hosts.

we were greeted by our beautiful host Erica, the apartment was located a short walk from a square that we were able to drive to and drop off the luggage. a free parking area was nearby to park. The apartment was perfect. there was a large bedroom window overlooking a scenic view. with the help of our host we mad dinner reservations at Cantina del Granduca where we had a terrific meal. of pasta and rabbit. be sure to visit. after returning to our apartment to our surprise Erica had lit a very nice fire for us and we enjoyed with a cup of tea before bed. we had stayed at many B&B’s over the years , this trip will be a 5 week trip with 21 B&Bs I would say that this was one of our most enjoyable stay’s. the location is excellent, dominates the Tiber baller facing south , close to the car park an easy 3 min walk away, close to the heart of the hilltop town of Anghiari.

Erica went out of her way to make our one night stay as perfect as it could be. The place doesn’t need anything more to be excellent : it’s big, clean, comfy, rustic and two minutes walk from the centre of Anghiari. It has all the basic stuff you might need (water, hair dryer, body wash etc) and she also bought us some cakes from the local bakery to say “welcome” . I hardly rate my stays on booking.con but this was a must on this occasion. If every host was like Erica and every place like this one, I d never stop travelling 🙂 Ps if you are a coffee lover like me, you ll find a great surprise here
