How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The apartment is very close to the railway line so we heard a lot of trains.
Monterosso is a lovely village and we really enjoyed our stay. Christina met us at the property and showed us everything. When we had a problem with the wash basins she had it fixed within an hour. The apartment is close to the beach, restaurants and shops.

All was good. We were a bit worried about noise from trains but that was no problem at all

The large bed was very soft.
The apartment is in an excellent location (and you can hardly hear the trains despite its proximity to the station). The large bedroom and part of the balcony have a sea view. There is a small supermarket downstairs and several restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The apartment is lovingly furnished, spacious and has a functional kitchen. The hostess was very friendly.

I liked it all!
The spaciousness of the apartment was very easy. Also only 100m to New Fegina beach. Cristina met me at the train station nearby at 8.00pm at night...always helpful and responsive when I contacted her.

The train track is adjacent to the property and if you are sensitive to noise then you will hear the running along the tracks all hours of day and night.
Location was great, close to the sea, morning coffee places. Shower had great pressure, loved the large towels, kitchen adequately stocked, comfortable beds and extra blankets if needed. Washing machine available.

Railway not a problem as trains come in so slow however there was some noise from the supermarket below with their deliveries early morning. However there is always some compromise and quality and location of apartment out weighed the negatives, a good value accommodation

in our room the curtain was dirty, it clearly needed washing and the lights on the sensors in the bathroom and hall were disturbing. otherwise nothing to complain about, surely these small problems can be solved.
excellent location, recently renovated apartment, close to the beach and the sea, supermarket as soon as you leave the block. you can reach the sea in 3 minutes, I recommend! I will definitely come back!perfect for 4 people.

Just a note that the address in Google sends you much further up the road than the accommodation actually is. When you see a supermarket on the left, the apartment is just above that.
The apartment was beautiful, very spacious with all the necessary facilities and a lovely balcony with a side view of the sea. Our host was very accommodating in checking us in, as we got the directions wrong in getting there. We really enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend it.

Beach towels could have been provided, but understand that require may require additional maintenance/washing etc.
Awesome location. Especially no steps to climb from station to this property. Very close to train station and beach. Big big bonus was the washer. Property also has clothes drying stand, laundry detergent and clothes pins. Very well maintained. Fully equipped kitchen. Downstairs is a mini supermarket where you can buy a wine or two. 2 independent bedrooms with 2 queen beds.. Cristina (host) was very nice to talk to and communicate with.

Washing machine was in list of facilities in flat on booking .com , but none there.
Modern, clean and comfortable flat with spacious lounge in ideal quiet location , away from busy streets . All villages are small so within short distance for everything . Really comfortable bed .

Amazing location, really close to the main train station. Christina was so lovely and helpful- gave us many tips of places to go, things to do and where to eat. The accommodation was kept perfectly and felt really clean and cosy. We had a great stay!

Very minor: it is right next to the railroad tracks, therefore, it’s noisy when a train is going through and when announcements are being made in the train station.
ideal location, near the train station, the beach, a good restaurant, and a comfortable walking distance from the old town. The apartment is clean, with plenty of space for three adults. We enjoyed happy hour on the balcony.We also greatly appreciated having a washing machine available to us.

could’ve a little noisy in the mornings and is close to the train line which really isn’t a problem since you have roller shutters at night.

Would be lovely to have beach towels provided so that there's no need to bring them in luggage. Note that other towels are provided in the bathroom though so that's great. Tea would also be great.
The host was really friendly and we were able to get into the room early. It's super clean and comfortable, great location. Lovely balcony.

Very close to passing trains. Thankful that they didn't run all night while we were sleeping.
Location was great, very close to the beach. Host, Cristina was very nice and helpful. Suite was spacious, modern, very comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Patio was a bonus as was the washing machine.

As probably all accommodations in the cinque terre, the trains and deliveries in the morning are noisy
