Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe distance between places due to the winding coast road

United StatesI loved everything about it.
I loved everything about Nido degli Dei. First and foremost, Gabriella is the heart and soul of the place. She is chatty, animated, and very well informed about everything around Agerola and the Amalfi Coast. She meticulously tends the sprawling vegetable garden to produce fresh ingredients for the excellent meals she prepares herself. The place itself is in a fantastic location with spectacular views of the sea and mountains while being away from the overbearing crowds of Amalfi. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and featured a Greek god theme in keeping with the property’s name.

United StatesThey should install a huge fan to push the fog away... ;-)
We were delayed on the trip and arrived later than originally planed, however there was no problem checking in. The service was friendly and fast. The reason we choose this particular hotel was that it is located on the top of the mountain, so the view is what makes it the perfect place. No wonder, it is fittingly named 'Nido Degli Dei' (The Nest of the Gods). Unfortunately, we arrived late at night, so the sea was mostly hidden in the dark. And, as luck would have it, or lack thereof, in the morning the sea was hidden in fog. We managed to see a bit the view... but hopefully one day we can return to see the view in its whole glory. Note that the road from the Amalfi Dr. (SS163) although is just 17km, it takes more than 1/2 hour to drive. It is a winding, beautiful road dug mostly on the rocky side of the mountain. Beautiful if you like that kind of drive. :-)

AustraliaIt was further than anticipated from Amalfi (bus took over an hour to get down the steep mountain).
Gabrielle, our host, was extremely helpful and made lots of recommendations. She made a wonderful breakfast with a wide variety of foods. There was no frig in the room, but she gave us space in her large kitchen frig. There were beautiful views over the water and some of the coastline from the shared terrace. The pretty little village of San Lazzaro was friendly with cafes and wine bars.

United StatesGreat little B&B near a mountain town above Amalfi coast. The owner is a very sweet lady, very accommodating. She runs cooking classes, as well as managing her B&B. We cooked with her our one night there and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Beautiful outdoor sitting areas with a soaking pool for summertime. Very clean and comfortable rooms.

Property has very good location, 300m from bus station which for Positano and Amalfi. It's located on the hill with amazing sea view! The most important thing was free privat parking on the property. Breakfast with a lot of options (they even have a lot for vegans!) was included. We stayed 2 nights, every day our room was tided up & bed was made up. Owner is amazing, very kind, english speaking, she gave us a lot of useful information about area, buses,.. We felt like at home. If I would go to that side of Italy again, I would choose Nido Degli Dei again. Highly recommend to everyone! 🙏🏼

LatviaI experienced some discomfort during my stay due to my allergies to dust and very humid air in the room, however, I noticed that when the heater was turned on, the situation improved. The breakfast provided was quite simple. I would have preferred a more diverse menu with warm options such as eggs and sausages.
During my stay, I thoroughly enjoyed the breathtaking view. The host was very kind and outgoing, providing valuable information about transportation schedules, offering helpful tips on places to visit and things to see. Her availability was consistent throughout our stay. Additionally, the location was excellent, providing convenient access for walking, driving, and using public transportation.
