The property is just off the hustle and bustle of the city without being cut off from amenities. The place is astounding, quiet, and very much to our liking. The cleanliness is excellent, and the breakfast is very good.... especially the cornetti di crema!!

I wouldn’t not have the check in/check out in the same room as the breakfast room, would prefer a bit of privacy when checking out.

In common with other places we've stayed at not having either drinking glasses or even a decent take away type cup is a real shame. The flies were a negative - should have had repellant with us.

Breakfast was fantastic! The room was clean and well maintained, while being able to observe the olive harvest taking place was a real bonus! The ability to make a coffee 24hours was a bonus.

Room was clean, comfortable. Good location for exploring Matera....Although about a ten minute drive, easy to get to by car! Staff were so friendly, very good breakfast! Was given good advice on Matera, where to go, park and eat at check in - was given a map! Very helpful. Would recommend if you dont mind the short drive!!

Not a problem as we carry a travel kettle and tea/coffee hot drink Facilities but Travellors may wish to bring a travel kettle if wishing hot drinks during day / evening when reception limted availability .

Excellent location to stay overnight with secure parking for hire car yet also visit Matera easily . Room very well appointed with fridge and very high quality newly renovated bathroom great shower ! Great value for money . Hosts very friendly and helpful

The insects

Room was spacious, clean and came with a TV set, a refregarator and A/C. Too many flies around (but it was summer and the property is located in a green cottage full of olive trees). Breakfast was good (great choice of cheeses and fruits).

I was slightly disappointed that we couldn’t walk into Matera from where we were staying. I thought i had read that we could in the Booking blurb. Probably my mistake. (Yes definitely my mistake!)

We arrived and Antonio took us under his wing making sure we knew everything (almost) about our accommodation and what to see and where to go in Matera. The rooms were excellent and the facilities very clean and quite new. The AC worked well. Breakfast was interesting as many of the little dishes were already on our table so we could tuck in. Some other things like the bigger Croissants were available when you requested them. We didn’t get asked if we wanted anything hot. One of our party is vegetarian and ther were plenty of options for her.

You really need a car to get into Matera are very expensive. There a no restaurants within the area.

The hotel was extremely clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and the hotel was in a very quiet country side setting.

Since we had a bad weather I really missed the kettle in the room + I personally prefer buffet style breakfast, here everything was already served for us on the table.

Very friendly and English speaking staff, they gave us the good overview of what's worth to be seen in Matera and recommended some restaurants too. The room was clean and big enough, equipped with my must haves: fridge and hair dryer. The breakfast was tasty. Good distance to Matera.
