How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Personel we met working in the apartment can't communicate in english, so every thing you would like to ask - ask the host via WhatsApp. In the kitchen there was no teaspoons or bowls (or we just didn't find them). There is a TV in room 5 but working very slow and image quality was low (maybe some connection issue) - but that's not why you fly to watch in Rome : )
Very good contact in english with host (via WhatsApp) and if there is any problem in room - it's quickly fixed. We could leave our luggage earlier in the common area and got information as soon as the room was ready. In the room 5 there is a private fridge and toilet. Towels for guests are in standard. In the common area there is an electric kettle and microwave. For guests there is also coffe and tea, sugar and salt. The host shared a map with pointed places worth to see. The apartment is close to the train/bus station Termini, metro, park, and quite close to Coloseum.

The room is within an apartment shared with other people and can be noisy at times as there are families with kids living nearby. The bathroom was quite small as was the shower.
Convenient location, close enough to main attractions and easily accessible by metro. Comfortable bed and fridge in the room.

Room was clean, but a bit worn down and the beds, especially the small bed wasn’t very comfortable. We stayed in a 3 person room and wouldn’t recommend more than two people in there due to the size.
Great location, close to Termini and cool area Monti and Colosseum within walking distance. There was a totally quiet fan in the ceiling and A/C which we didn’t need since we visited in April. Even though reception is remote they replied immediately and helpfully via WhatsApp whenever we had an inquiry. We were even surprised with a small discount on our stay which was lovely.

Very handy location for getting into town to sight see, common areas and rooms were very clean. I would come back here again if I return to Rome.

Its bathroom and kitchen were shared and it was a bit messy.
It was good located, near a Metro station and near Colosseum. The room was extremely good, comfortable. I would recommend totally.

Very good for those who need a clean place for several nights just to rest after traveling. It is close to important objects of city- only 20min walk from coliseum and 15min from Termini station, shops nearby. Although there were some problems with electricity and change of rooms, landlords comunication was perfect and problems were solved quickly.

At first, when we arrived, the bedsheet seemed like it hasn't been replaced as several hairs was found which doesn't seem like it came from the head (if you know what i mean). We asked them if we could get a new set and thankfully the hotel responded nicely and change it the next day. One other thing that i find a bit unpleasant is the smell from the shared bathroom which smells quite bad that can reach the hallway. I would rather if they put freshener in the toilet to keep the smell away.
The location between Nova Roma to Colosseum and other places are considerably quite near to each other. It was less than 15 minutes to reach Termini Roma Station where all the transportations are there. There are kitchen and appliances also but we didnt get to utilize it as we often eat outside. The customer service responds rather quickly when we have any questions.

Nova Roma Guesthouse is hard to locate on Google Maps, so take caution and paste down their address there instead. If you're used to the classic way of checking in and out, you may also find the process a bit tedious this time because you need to fill things up online and check your mail and Whatsapp from time to time.
The place is near the Metro stations and is surprisingly a decent walk from Rome Termini and the Colosseum. Place feels neat and safe, with comfy room, and usable kitchenware. Also relatively cheaper than many other stays in city center.

The size of the bathroom is okay, but the size for bathing area is very small. The room is not soundproof.
I like that the check in process is automated. The person replied our email very fast as well. We booked last minute and the step for check-in is very well written in the email. There is also fruits and microwave provided in the shared room area.
