Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceThe hotel owner was not very cool or generous After booking our plane tickets we saw that there were no more boat going to panarea after 14:30 Moût flight arrived in Catania at 13:35, impossible to be in Milazzo one hour later I then wrote right away to Booking who answered very kindly to contact the manager directly and to arrangw with him, they sent the hotel email address & tel. I was then quite optimistic I wrote immediately but never received a response from the hotel Once we arrived (the second day) I explained the situation and requested the refund of the first night "We can’t do that," he simply said. Not very commercial or friendly, too bad. I will book somewhere else during my next visits to Panarea, an island I truly love.
The hotel is really nice and comfortable, the name Oasis is well chosen to discribe the beauty of the garden

MaltaIt is very easy to compare Hotel Oasi to a haven. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, the accommodation itself is very comfortable and close to everything. I can't recommend it enough.

United KingdomThe Jacuzzi pool isn't heated and so we found it rather cold (early October).
This hotel is a short walk from the port and the rooms are set in a beautiful garden. The good breakfast is served in their restaurant a short walk up the street. We also had an excellent dinner in this restaurant. Don't miss sitting by the little port in the evening watching the eruptions from Stromboli. The walk around the island was very strenuous but well worth it. To walk to the sandy beach, which is lovely and not crowded in October, is just over half an hour . Alternatively you could get a taxi there.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Oasi Frederica at the front desk was so helpful and a perfect host nothing was ever a problem. The grounds are immaculately kept and the thermal springs pool was a delight and very refreshing on a hot summers day.

SingaporeBeautiful resort styled hotel. Very nice host. It was cloudy and cold so I couldn’t enjoy the pool (and beaches), but I enjoyed the quietness and had a very relaxing day in the garden all by myself.

Switzerland- The weather ;-) - Rooms could be a bit larger for 4 people.
- Very nice and "authentic" hotel just a couple of minutes walk from the harbour. - Lots of possibilities for sunbathing and hanging around in the garden. - Geothermic whirlpool is excellent. - It was very quite when we were there in April - maybe this is different in busy summer months. - Breakfast was served in the famous Ristorante da Pina which offers excellent dinner menus. It's pricey, but worth it.

ItalyCatalino so kindly met us upon arriving at port. We absolutely loved the pool area, jacuzzi and the surrounding vegetation. Our room was next door to the lobby but would have preferred one over looking the pool area. I don’t think I quite understood the location/description online. Breakfast is a 3 minute walk to a hotel/restaurant nearby. Panarea is a small island, very clean and beautiful and this is the perfect hotel and location for a 2/3 day stay.

United KingdomWell maintained and looked after property and the rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable and the pool area is a great place to relax. It’s really close to the main port and there are some great places to explore. Their restaurant, Da Pina, is absolutely fantastic and the food is incredible! Definitely go there. Kind and friendly staff too. We had a lovely couple of days there.

IrelandBar wasn't open ( but the local supermarket sells beer at 1.50 a bottle approx. so... all good :) ) Also a mini fridge in the room to keep the beer cold :D So .. nothing really too bad just inconvenient ... then again .. we travelled at the end of season .
Staff are very helpful. Got picked up and dropped off at the port. Not too far from the port ( about 5 min walk ) Read some reviews before about the pool but it was clean despite what others said! Very quiet area.

United Kingdom- My room did not feature a table - neither did the balcony - Disturbed sleep though (i) noisy A/C - I turned it off so I can sleep but waking up sweaty made me turn it on again and (ii) pillows that were overly large - Breakfast is a restricted joke (8-10am) with no protein and no veggies - To make matters worse, some of the brekkie plates had dried leftovers over them - WiFi is a mirage - it is impossibly hard to connect and when the connection goes through, it is reminiscent of the dial-in 90s era - Despite being a returning guest, I was given the worst room of the entire complex facing a noisy driveway
- I was picked up from the port upon arrival saving a sweaty uphill walk - Personnel were all around very nice and welcoming and everyone spoke English
