Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaA very well though out apartment with excellent ammenities and quality towels and linens. Kitchen was well equipped and our host was lovely and checked that everything was fine with us. Parking was nearby and we always managed to find a spot not too far from the apartment. The whole experience was amazing and the town was enchanting as were the locals.

IsraelWe loved everything...
We loved the host Leonardo who helped with everything with a big heart. The charming and beautiful village. The location is perfect for a sightseeing trip in Tuscany (Siena, Florence and the Chianti region). The apartment itself was well equipped, comfortable, clean and pleasant. Highly recommend!

ItalyCozy place in a fairytale-like little village, right in the middle of Chianti. The apartment was clean, warm, and carefully furnished and equipped. The owner welcomed us and even helped us reserve a place to eat which turned out to be very nice as well. Definitely recommended!

United StatesThe steps were a bit steep.
A tasteful and meticulous renovation of an old medieval tower. The old walls and beamed ceilings were kept, but the furnishings were ultra modern. Free parking is readily available in the town.

AustraliaOur host was very helpful and came to meet us at the car to help with our bags. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had read the town was small with only two options available for dinner so had booked ahead but our host offered to get us a table at one of the restaurants if we needed somewhere for dinner. Very helpful and friendly.

TurkeyNothing. I loved everything about the property. It’s amazing:)
The property was amazing. Very clean, newly and very tastefully decorated and everything was well taken care of in it. There is everything you need in the house ( lots of towels, full kitchen appliances, julcer, toaster, smoothie maker, hair dryer, 2 tv’s with netflix, etc., there were even umbrellas which came in handy when it rained a lot one day.) The house is in a very beautiful small town that we liked a lot and the location was very close to other interesting towns like Siena, Firenze, Lucca, Volterra. We stayed in the house for our honeymoon and it felt like home, very cosy. The weather was very cold and the heating system works great. There is a butcher shop which sells amazing cold cuts, meat, pasta and fresh eggs, we have been to the little farmers market close by, the super market and the bakery is in walking distance to the house. It was great to have radios on every floor. The walk in closet was very useful and it is great to have two showers in the same bathroom. There is a very nice winery very close to the house to do wine tasting which is called Casa Emma. Leonardo was an amazing host as well. He welcomed us warmly when we first arrived and explained us everything which made lots of things easier for us. We had to change our arrival time many times and he was very understanding and flexible and we were always able to reach him when we needed. He helped us about the parking spot too, very appreciated. I definitely recommend this property and would love to stay again when i am in tuscany again. I was very happy with everything. It was one of my best stays. Thanks a lot for everything.

GermanyWe stayed in Leonardo's apartment for three days in early September. It is located in the small and quiet town of San Donato in Poggio. The place is beautiful and absolutely worth a visit. There are several small restaurants with local cuisine that are recommended. The apartment itself is very, very lovingly furnished and lacked nothing. The kitchen is as well equipped as you would probably find at home. The bedroom is very tastefully decorated and the bed is very comfortable - we never slept so well again during our Italian vacation. Air conditioning is available. The bathroom is also super modern and lacks nothing. The entire apartment was absolutely clean and there were really no flaws. Leonardo is also a very, very nice and flexible host. During the briefing he gave us several tips for the place and the surrounding area, which helped us a lot. The complete communication with him was super friendly and absolutely transparent. We will recommend the apartment to everyone and gladly book again when we go to Tuscany.

GermanyWe spent one night in the apartment and felt very comfortable. We would definitely recommend it to everybody (also for longer stays). The apartment is located directly in the medieval town center of San Donato. The furnishings are modern, cozy and very tasteful. You can tell that the owner has put a lot of effort and love into the renovation and design of the apartment. Everything was very clean, moreover the apartment is very well equipped (coffee maschine, juicer, smoothie maker, dishwasher, washing machine, much space for storage, towels,...). The owner was very friendly, showed us everything and gave us tips for the stay. San Donato is a cute, quiet medieval village which ist loacted well for excursions. It also has a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside of the Chianti region. We also had a very tasty dinner in the restaurant just down the street.

GermanyAbsolutely nothing.
It's a marvellous, very stylish, luxurious and modern apartment on two floors with plenty of amenities, such as two TVs, a toaster, a coffee machine and even a juice squeezer. The kitchen and the living-room are on the main floor, while the bedroom and the bathroon are on the upper floor. Everything is well thought of and impeccably clean. The shower is big enough for two people at the same time. There're extra blankets if needed. The apartment is situated in a remodelled stone house where you're safe from the summer heat. A few steps up the street, you'll find two restaurants in this small, yet very charming village. We were lucky to be able to find parking in the nearby public street for free, yet there's also pay parking close by. Leonardo is a very kind host who is easily and always reachable and genuinely interested in other people and cultures! The bottle of wine, nicely draped on the dining table, was a kind welcome gift. You can't ask for more! Leonardo's apartment is a real gem!
