Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandWe had an amazing stay at Olivenere agriturismo! The hospitality was exceptional. The room itself is just right size, well equipped with freshly renovated bathroom. There is a nice breakfast served on a terrace, and you can enjoy the pool with the view. Since it’s located up on the hill you will definitely need either a car or a scooter to be flexible. Highly recommend!

ItalyThe breakfast options could have included more savoury / healthy options, it was mainly cakes.
The view of the property is absolutely breathtaking. Run by a local family, the decoration is both homey and modern (the bedrooms). The dinner was delicious, all vegetarian traditional dishes including an unbeatable pasta al pesto finished in the oven. All the staff was very friendly. Highly recommended!

AustraliaThe shower door didn't close properly which meant the bathroom kept flooding, and we couldn't get the aircon to work..
Excellent atmosphere, quiet surroundings with a breath-taking view. The staff were all very friendly. Not to mention the food and wine at the stay was out of this world and there were great places to eat nearby.

United Kingdom700 metres from the sea - one of the reasons I booked the property, maybe 700m as the crow flies! It’s an hour walk or 10-15 min drive. A few issues in the room - shower door didnt close properly so the bathroom floor ended up soaking after a shower. Air conditioning wouldnt work on last night ( it was 30 degrees outside) so not ideal. Very minor I know but the bathroom mirror was broken too, not smashed but extremely wobbly.
Beautiful views. Fabulous pool. Great balcony with 360 degree views.

United KingdomGreat family run hotel with an amazing view. The staff are wonderful very friendly and welcoming- nothing was too much trouble. We loved relaxing by the pool after a long day exploring the local area. You can visit most places along the coast by train from the nearest town. Very convenient for visiting Portofino, Comogli and the Cinque Terra. A gem of a hotel that we would thoroughly recommend.

UkraineI do not know what to start with, first of all - people that work there are amazing! We came late at night, we were provided with all of the instructions, we were called and supervised, such care and attention we got that evening is very valued. Second, the room has everything, and the view is amazing. The pool and the view worth coming. The breakfast was specially made omelette right from the kitchen, multiple delicious deserts, fruits… amazing. I highly recommend this hotel.

In the heart of the enchanting Lavagna, Liguria, lies a paradisiacal haven, Olivenero Agriturismo. From the moment I set foot on its verdant grounds, it was as if I had stepped into a world of charm, magic, and ethereal beauty that one can only find in the pages of the most poetic prose. The first thing that struck me was the majesty of the view, a stunning panorama of rolling hills, verdant vineyards, and the azure embrace of the Ligurian Sea. As the sun dipped towards the horizon, it cast a warm golden light upon the landscape, setting the surroundings aglow with the ethereal beauty of the dying day. Olivenero Agriturismo's staff greeted me with a warmth and sincerity that carried the essence of the heartwarming hospitality found in the most idyllic of tales. Their attentiveness and genuine care were the invisible threads that wove the tapestry of this idyllic experience, ensuring every moment was nothing short of extraordinary. The immaculate cleanliness of the estate was matched only by the purity of the surrounding nature. The air, filled with the scent of wildflowers and the gentle rustling of leaves, was a symphony of serenity that lulled me into a state of sublime tranquility. No oasis would be complete without a pool, and Olivenero's crystalline waters were an invitation to dive headlong into the refreshing embrace of aquatic bliss. The poolside offered the perfect vantage point for admiring the mesmerizing play of light and color as the sun set, bestowing upon the world a visual symphony that would make even the most discerning aesthete swoon. The agriturismo's intrinsic connection to nature was further reinforced by the sumptuousness of the food served. Each dish was a testament to the bountiful harvests of the region, woven into delectable culinary creations that delighted the senses and nourished the soul. As night descended and the sun surrendered its final, lingering rays to the darkening sky, the world was bathed in a celestial...

UkraineSpeaking honestly, the bed wasn't comfortable enough and did not allow to rest properly. The dinner to be served slightly faster
The view is even better than you can imagine. The personnel and interior is superior, all the tiny details in interior are magnificent and made wit soul: vintage furniture, chandeliers, statues. Very caring and client oriented administrator. Family, owning hotel, really invest their soul and efforts into a hotel and quality of service, that was really appreciated by us. I recommend having veggie dinner at a hotel, it is very delicious! The pool is above expectations!

United StatesNot that I didn't like it, but the property is in a hilly area with very narrow and winding, 1-lane roads which can make driving a bit more challenging so something to consider if you're not used to it.
We stayed at this property to visit Portofino and Cinque Terre by car with our family of four. Michele was very welcoming when we checked in, and even though the room wasn't ready yet, he took our bags and offered some ideas to plan our stay in the area. The property has magnificent views overlooking the coastline of Santa Margherita and Rapallo to the North and Sestri Levante to the South. If you are seeking to relax, this is a great place as you are in the countryside, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We enjoyed the pool overlooking the views and the morning breakfast was all homemade with pastries and egg omelets cooked to order.

United StatesOur room on the side (Emilia) had one window that was directly above the outdoor oven, so the first night we had a lot of smoky smell coming into the room.
Location was beautiful, a bit tricky to find down long windy roads, but the beautiful outdoor yard where they served breakfast overlooking the ocean was lovely. Hosts were very friendly and kind. They have Sunday dinners, but we found out too late. Breakfast was serviceable: coffees, breads, egg, yogurt and fruit. The best part of this B&B up in the hills is the view.
