How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Absolutely nothing
We can’t say enough about how wonderful this B &B is. It is a perfect location to the train station but yet on a very quiet street. Highly recommend you visit the Optimus B & B.

My friend and I's stay at Optimus B&B was beyond excellent. The room was comfortable and relaxing with adjustable lighting. The host, Andrea, made our stay so special. He provided an assortment of breakfast food and even packed us breakfast boxes for our early mornings. His energy and helpfulness made us feel so welcome in Rome. I cannot recommend staying here enough!

just near roma termini station. This B&B is different from previous stays i’ve been. only 2 rooms available but situated in a quiet area. Andrea is a very good host and made us check in early. Room is big with amenities including coffee machine in the room and fridge which has different array of snacks and drinks which are all included in the price. breakfast is good especially the pastries and pizzas. Overall a very good experience and a nice place to relax after touring around rome and other cities. will definitely come back again if visiting rome. cheers andrea!

The host Andrea made sure we can contact him whenever needed and if we have any questions. He was there waiting for us before check in and in check in he explained everything and told us where to find things we need. The place was clean and comfortable. The location suited our needs as it was only 8 minutes from Roma Termini. We needed to catch a train to Civitavecchia port early morning the following day, so the location was a big bonus.

From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome and appreciated. The location is excellent, right by the train station yet quiet. We were able to walk to all the sites from our B & B. There are plenty of nearby restaurants, many with outside seating. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The specialty coffee maker was a treat, as were all the complimentary drinks and food items in the mini fridge! Breakfast included fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs delicious pastries and cereals with yoghurts. All were delicious. If staying in Rome again, we will absolutely book at the Optimus B & B!

The owner, Andrea, was awesome, contacted us prior to arrival to make sure we would have no problems finding the property. Public transportation and restaurants a short walk away. The rooms minibar was stocked with complimentary drinks, snacks and sandwiches.

We appreciated the enthusiastic welcome we received from Andrea on arrival. He shared (via WHATSAPP)very clear and detailed information on how to check in and find the location with a great video tutorial. Plus Andrea also provided a wealth of recommendations for restaurants, gelateria's and pizza. The room included a thoughtful layout with an area with hooks for hanging jackets, bags and hats; something we find lacking throughout the industry. As other reviewers mention the fridge is stocked with sandwiches, yogurt, and cheese plus a welcome bottle of Prosecco. And there is a Nespresso machine in your room with an impressive selection of beverage options. Breakfast is available pro9mptly at 7:30 AM via an ingenious automatic door system. It includes pastry, cereal, boiled eggs, fresh fruit and of course coffee from the deluxe coffee machine. Every interaction with Andrea was engaging and informative.

Everything was wonderful!
Andrea is an excellent host. He greeted us upon arrival and escorted us to our room. Andrea sent us restaurant information via WhatsApp and provided tips and useful information regarding our stay. The room is well appointed, with coffee and tea available in room in addition to a stocked refrigerator (including sandwiches, yogurt, snacks, water and welcome champagne splits!) The breakfast pizza and pastries were absolutely delectable! (There was also a variety of cereals, juices, toast, fruit and hard boiled eggs.) The location is ideal as it’s literally across the street from Termini Train Station- just be careful if using Google maps as it may provide a roundabout way of arriving. It’s clear that Andrea takes pride in Optimus and wishes the best stay for his guests.

The bed was a little hard.
