How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Absolutely nothing to say! Everything was excellent.
Superb location. Clean place and comfortable beds with friendly hostel staff. Cristiano was very kind and helpful, provided us with hike informations. I recommend 1000%, especially if you are hiker. It's a great starting point to visit Cinque Terre and Porto Venere, which is also very beautiful place, worth visiting. I will definitely come back in the future.

Very well located for the hiking (a path begging just above the hostel) and pretty easy to take the bus and go to the city to take the trains, (just in front of the hostel) I kindly recommended it ! Christiano is very warm-hearted, always ready to help. He’s welcoming and he does his job with patience. The garden is very peaceful, nice spot to take some rest after the hike or have conversation with the other travelers. I really recommand it if you want to enjoy the Cinque Terre, it’s a really warm place, I leave it with lot of good memories, thanks you to all the staff :).

There were no faults at all, loved staying there.
A fantastic location, a superb hostel and fantastic staff. The owner was unbelievably friendly and a fantastic host. Would recommend to anyone to stay . I will definitely be returning.

the cover is a bit thin in May
Good location, easy travel to La Sprezia and Cinque Terre. Four persons room is enough quiet for the sleep.

You have to be mindful of the bus time table as it is intermittent at chunks of the day.
The area was beautiful, very relaxing and great information if you like hiking you can hike to Riomaggiore it takes 1.5 hrs around and is fairly easy. Good facilities in the hostel, staff are very warm and friendly overall a good place to stay.

The gap in the bus schedule of several hours but that is not the Ostello Tramonti's fault. They were very good at letting us know about this and helped with bus questions.
The hostel was excellent and situated in cute little Biassa. Gloria at the Tabac shop was a wonderful help with tourist type questions to help with plans to see Cinque Terre and transportation.

Nothing to dislike. I loved everything for the price I paid. But more importantly I loved my time there
The hostel is run by the best couple I've seen and they help you in every way possible to ensure you have a great and comfortable stay.

a place for guests to cook would have been nice but it wasn’t a big deal
awesome staff and great feel in the hostel. the village of Biassa is super cute with great hikes nearby and a few shops to buy basic things. the hostel’s restaurant is really really good! I look forward to coming back!

it is very difficult to get there because there is only one bus going to the hostel. the hostel is not in the city, it is kilometers away in the hills

2€ for lending a towel Breakfast could be bigger A guest snored and my sleep was bad
If you want to hike and enjoy the nature it is perfect, but if you want to see la spezia and visit restaurants for example, then it is not Many friendly guests, it is easy to socialize No problem to find a parking lot The price is high on the first view, but Italy is a bit expensive in my experience, do the price here is not bad

The breakfast is simple but delicious, as all the other meals in the hostal, really good. The staff was kind and helpful, providing the information for hiking and visiting nearby places. Confortable beds, clean showers.

My only complaint is that all of the shower mats were soaked. It felt unclean

The staff is ok but not very friendly.

Ostello Tramonti was the beat hostel I have stayed at on my trip. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. They helped me plan multiple days of hiking route through Cinque Terre. Every evening when I got back, I had dinner at their restaurant and it was so authentic and delicious! I highly recommend this hostel!!

This accommodation is set in a really picturesque, mountainous part of Italy. The hostel has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. The room was also in a good condition.
