Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomBeds were incredibly firm and not super comfortable. No view at all from our room either - down into a small courtyard but could barely see the sky. We had also informed the hotel of our arrival time of 1pm (granted, only 24 hours beforehand having had a change of schedule) but the room wasn't ready for us to check in to. But - they do have a communal toilet room to change in and space to leave bags.
Brilliant location just up from the Colosseum - about 5 minutes walk to both the Colosseo and Cavour stations. We had the Happy Families room with a double and a single which is a great size, and good bathroom. Really friendly and helpful staff and they were more than happy to hold our bags both before and after our stay while we explored the city. Also very good comms over WhatsApp prior to check in and flexible check in possible.

Amazing location, very close to Colosseum, lots of places to eat nearby. Great staff, very helpful and accommodating. Easy walking distance to everything we wanted to see.

Front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful arranging transportation and sharing local dining recommendations. Location was great — walkable distance from most attractions. Room was quiet. The family-style room was a nice setup for four.

United StatesMy wife and I are early risers and start our days before the staff arrived. There were times when we had questions and/or needed directions and there was nobody available to help. A bit of an inconvenience but it made us more self-sufficient.
Hotel Paba was wonderful. The rooms were very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was close to many sights and an easy walking distant to most everything. Being a small hotel gave you the feeling like you were a resident of Rome. In fact, during our 8 day stay, we hardly ran into the other hotel guest.

United StatesHotel Paba was clean, great location and an incredible staff. My sister and I stayed about a week at Hotel Paba. The hotel has been renovated and the room was comfortable, quiet with comfortable beds, nice towels and shower products. There was lots of hot water! The location is perfect and near the major ruins, Capitoline Museum and National Museum of Rome. It’s about a 15 min walk from Termini Station. There are lots of restaurants nearby. Our trip was made extra special by Lisa and Fanny who work at registration. They are available from 9-7. Their personal attention, recommending restaurants, calling taxis, arranging airport transportation made our stay extra special. Thank you again! Overlook the entry. It does not have curb appeal. The elevator works well, but it is not modern. The hotel is on the 2nd floor. Lisa and Fanny speak very good English. I highly recommend staying at Hotel Paba and would stay there again.

That really helped as we had a Colosseum tour booked right after that. Overall our experience was very good.
