The glass door in the bathroom is a nice design idea, but not for friends traveling together.

The room is located in the heart of Gallipoli, on a very beautiful and very well maintained old building. Very clean, beautifully decorated and quite spacious room for two people! Rich breakfast with fresh fruits, coffee and a selection of local pastries, very friendly and kind staff!

We loved our stay at Palazzo Balsamo, it’s in such a beautiful historic building and the rooms are lovely. The bed was comfy, the staff were really friendly & helpful. We would highly recommend staying here when visiting Gallipoli.

On the last day, we honestly had a weird and uncomfortable situation with some staff. A breakfast accident (and some lack of communication) had some staff members rolling their eyes and loudly complaining at us, which felt both unprofessional and uncomfortable, especially since the accident wasn't our fault. It had a bit of bitter ending to an overall fantastic stay.

The location was very good, the interior of the hotel was beautiful. Friendly welcoming and overall, I would say the value was very high, and I'd recommend anyone to stay here.

Parking is rather problematic. You can drive in the peninsula to pack out your luggage, than you have to drive out to find a parking place. Until you load out your luggage and take them to the hotel (120 metres away in the pedestrian street) someone better stays at the car, because police might punish you.

Beautiful room in a historic building. Just in the centre of Gallipoli, spacious room and bathroom, beautiful decoration. The interiour was really lovely. Also the breakfast was great! Within walking distance of shops, restaurants and main historic sites in Gallipoli

The breakfast was good but some small changes would make it much better. There was no menu and the waitress just told us what was available and we let her know what we wanted. A buffet style would have been a lot more convenient so you can see everything available and choose it yourself.

Superb location, right in the centre of the old town but still private and secluded. Reception and breakfast area are all gorgeous. Bedroom was great, very comfortable and clean and the AC worked perfectly. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. The staff were wonderful too. We stayed in 5 different areas around Puglia and this was our favourite by far.

A little noisy from 8am

The location was excellent, close to the beach and restaurants. If looking for a relaxing stay with 10am starts to the day, this place may not me for you, as it was noisy in the mornings. Elaria who looked after us at breakfast was a gem, thank you Elaria!

My partner and I loved our stay here! Right in the center of the old town, but quiet and restful after a long day exploring! Room was refreshed daily, staff was helpful with transport to and from the airport, and great with dining recommendations!

Lucia and her colleague were extremely helpful and kind. They made sure me and my friend had everything we needed. The location is great to visit Gallipoli. Even though it is located in a busy road, the noise doesn't reach the rooms. The air conditioning in the room works and the room was always clean and tidy upon our return from the beach.

It was challenging to communicate with the owner, who only communicated via phone. When we needed the Wi-Fi password, there was no response. Similarly, when we needed details to enter the building, no instructions were sent. We only received instructions after making multiple direct calls. The rooms are a bit wet, so you can feel the dampness and smell it.

The (rather lovely) room had little or no natural daylight so was very stuffy and extremely hard to breathe as it was hot - I would have found it depressing in autumn/winter when the nights are darker anyway The staff seemed very young/immature and unable to deal well with our request to leave bags etc especially well The breakfast was disappointing (and the standard for this trip was already extremely low!) The parking was some 10 mins walk away although they did arrange for us to be able to drive into the old city to drop off bags and we where met at the secure parking by a lovely man who spoke good English it was a bit of a faff

It was very central in the old town, so well located The room was spacious and had a fridge/safe and was comfortable enough with sofa/chair too The building was beautiful and historic in its origins and felt secure
