Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe staff are very polite and helpful. And also Massimo. The hotel is a converted monastery with pieces of art dotted around. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and Mergellina station is a couple of minutes away, so the city is very accessible. The hotel is in a quiet area. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended

CanadaThat we only had enough time for one night in Naples. If we had known how much we would enjoy everything, we would have booked more time here.
We had struggled to find accommodation for all four of us and parking, Palazzo Cappuccini was exactly what we needed. It was a bonus to discover that the building was a former convent, so was steeped with history and aesthetic charm.

HungaryThe hotel is located near the Mergellina metro station (about 3-4 min. walk) - that means it is easy to access eeverything. The neighbourhood is lovely, there are nearby shops, cafés , restauranst too. We had a nice a room, a comfortable bed, fridge, tv. The hotel staff is very kind and helpful. The room faced the backyard - and it was very quiet. The breakfast was also good. We had a very good "base" in this hotel to discover Napoli, Pompeii, Caserta.

Austria-
Nice & clean, but small rooms. Although rooms were towards the street, they were quiet. Metro/train station is nearby and in 5 min walking distance you are at the sea side with some nice restaurants. Its a little far from the old city centre, but we knew it before and for one night still a perfect place to stay. The lady at the reception was really nice and attentive. The old building felt safe for my first time earthquake experience ... :)

DenmarkThere was nothing I did not like
The hotel was originally a convent which has been sympathetically re constructed into a hotel while preserving it history with original architecture and artefacts which gives interesting surroundings. The attached picture are all from outside the property.

IsraelI had a pleasant stay overall, but I have a suggestion for improvement. The method of activating electricity with the room key card can be a bit inconvenient. If a door nearby slams shut, the card can disengage, causing sudden disruptions like lights turning on in the middle of the night or the air conditioner shutting off. Additionally, it would be great if there were more accessible electrical outlets in the room. I had difficulty using the kettle as I had to search for a suitable socket, eventually placing it near the bed. These small changes could enhance the guest experience.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel, especially the fact that it is housed in a historic building with a rich history, preserving its rooms and some of the interior elements, including a charming library. The staff was exceptionally pleasant and attentive, always ready to assist with any request. The breakfast was also very good.

United StatesNo cooked breakfast option. Would have liked fresh cooked scrambled eggs or an omelette. They did offer warm hard boiled eggs however which were nice and they had a lovely selection of fruit and pastries/cakes. Shower did not stay high on pole so made it difficult to shower.
Beautiful building, very clean, very friendly, parking on site, close to metro, close to restaurants and shops. Comfortable beds.

Beautiful building with interesting old features and very friendly and welcoming staff. The location is perfect, just a small walk away from tube station, sea promenade, amazing restaurants and lovely local shops. The hotel is a peaceful heaven and elegantly decorated. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had and Simona made the breakfast experience even nicer with her welcoming smile and attention to details. The art in the building is beautiful and the 1700 Presepe at the entrance is mesmerising. I highly recommend this hotel and I will certainly go back. Thank you to everyone at Palazzo Cappuccini.
