Once your booking appears to be complete, you will be asked to pay a city tax of €3 per person. Also, after your booking, you will be sent a form that you need to fill out (usually this data is not needed to book any hotel). You will also be asked to send a screenshot of your city tax payment to the specified email address. I couldn't do this and so the owner accommodated me and allowed me to just leave 6€ in cash on the table. Too many unnecessary steps to just spend one night. I have never seen anything like this in any other hotel in the world.

The facilities, the location was perfect, safety, furniture was unique, the bathroom, the room climate. The staff was ok, helpful and provided with all needs. You have Italian books.

The apartment in located in an old historic building, next to a church, so there was a little discomfort when the bells rang :) The furniture and the small fridge were not new and also not so well maintained, the apartment might have been cleaner.

The beds were very comfortable, the check-in process was easy, as well as the one for check-out, the location was good, close to public transport, shops and restaurants. And of course, close to the Aquarium and the Old Port (around 10 min walk).

The shower cubicle sealing was a little mildew-y and bathroom could do with a new toilet seat, but apart from that, the bathroom and the rest of the room was great!

Weird furnishings in the common space. Cold and industrial illumination. No soap dispenser, limited toiletries. Bed blankets too warm (an additional bed sheet below the blanket would have been better). The view.

I did not receive the usual check in information after the booking, had to wait and then call, maybe this has to be improved as all other b&b do, they send the mesaage wright after reservation in booking. There was no hair dryer.

The place is not really a hotel or hostel, but a converted big apartment with rooms. This is not a problem, but not what we expected to find when we booked this place.

The quilt/duvet was not looking clean and there was a strange scent in the room, most probably a cleaning detergent, which triggers immediately the allergies.

Since they are using a self check-in system, the instructions have been sent were very informative and quick. The room and the sheet sets were very clean. The suggestions list that they have provided was extensive, especially for the restaurants.

to call a room a deluxe double, i would expect a window with better view than on a wall and clean furniture (old stains on the soffa etc). i dont need a wall-size flat screen tv but would be happy to have enough warm water to wash my hair. the property consists of four rooms, leading to a big common hall which is filled with bizarre things such as a billiard table and a marble reading stand but no fridge nor kettle. i know it is mentioned in the property preface but still, it would be a nice enhance of the place. for a one night stand, or for someone who always likes to eat out, very good.

the location was really fantastic for a short stay: not quite in the picturesque but often stinky and not quite safe narrow streets of the old town but, as the property name states, just few steps of it. it's also close to the funicolar stop that takes you up to the hills above the old town. notice, genova is hilly,, especially outside the small strip of old town it is really hilly and they are steep. other great thing was welcoming approach of the staff or proprietors, hard tonsay, as after all i have only met the cleaning lady in person. anyway, it was arrangaeble to drop luggage in the room three hours before the check-in time and take the keys with me, which made.moving around much easier.
