Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Statesto reach the location the first time was a challenge following Google Maps as there are small streets to navigate. lots of steps to climb with bags
staff was really helpful, especially our valet Carlo who helped us with the luggage, also the receptionist who helped us with locations, taxi, and ferry bookings.

United KingdomThis is just a personal thing but I don’t like themed bedrooms. You are in Italy and I am not sure American actresses is a vibe. Maybe keep it traditional Italy,
The staff were really helpful. Breakfast very good. If you are not very agile not ideal as lots of steps to climb.

FinlandEmployers could have been a little more service minded during breakfast but they were polite. Overall stuff was great, especially in reception and Patrizia in rooftop! :)
Breakfast was average: there were omelets, warm vegetables etc. and warm lovely croissants. I love fresh fruits and luckily they have them as well.

United StatesNothing really. Just make sure the hotel porter gets your heavy luggage. It's worth the tip.
The view was great. They were filming a Denzel Washington film in the square below, which was cool. NOTE: there are some steps to get to the hotel, but it's worth it. It's a cool labyrinth to get there. View was amazing. People were nice. The porter was great. Good place.

SlovakiaNothing, maybe just that breakfast did not have so many options but comparable to other Italian hotels.
Wonderful stay with the amazing views. Helpful stuff. And easy to find as you just follow the "marks" (Without that I wouldn't find it in that narrow small streets)

United Stateswe ordered food on the rooftop restaurant. they were out of a number of items and our meals came at very different times to the four of us. one in our party was served a partially frozen serving of lasagne.
The hotel itself has a small elevator, however, there is a lot of stair climbing to get to the hotel entrance. There is a huge fee to go less than half a mile from the ferry stop to the hotel. The breakfast was fine. the rooms are decorated like the 70’s.

NetherlandsBeach towels would be appreciated but this is a very minor thing.
A lovely hotel just a short walk from the beach, bus station, shop and restaurants in Atrani and also just a 10 minute walk from Amalfi. The location couldn’t have been better as Amalfi was really busy and touristy and Atrani felt more relaxed and real. My sister and I loved our stay here (May 2022) and would definitely stay here again. We had a room with a gorgeous view overlooking Atrani and out to sea, with everything you could need. The staff were really pleasant and quick to help with anything we needed. The breakfast was great. All in all, we would absolute recommend this hotel. The hotel is up steps so be careful if you have mobility issues (but that warning goes for the entire Amalfi Coast). The hotels arranges for someone to help you with your bags when you arrive, which was an extra warm welcome.

United StatesThe place itself has a lot of steps to get to the top. So if you have a lot of luggage, it is hard to keep going up and down. Also, the elevator was not working, so we had to climb up to the rooftop as well.
We absolutely loved the rooftop views and the view from our room. The area is close to Amalfi, which is a short walk away, and Atrani has some excellent restaurants as well. The staff at the front desk is helpful and can arrange tours and taxis easily.

IsraelEverything was really good.
Perfect location next to a small quiet beach and next to the village square with restaurants. Within a walking distance from Amalfi, but away from the tourists crowd. In order to reach the hotel you need to climb stairs, that definitely worth the effort, since the view from the rooms and the rooftop is amazing. The staff was very nice and helpful, with getting up the suitcases, parking the car, and reservations for restaurants.
