Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandNothing to dislike, just to let you know that it is a small village that is very quiet and a car would in my opinion be essential to visit local towns and beaches.
All of the staff were exceptional! Especially Francesca and Elizabeth who went out of their way to help with our stay, suggesting places to visit with best places to park, best beaches to visit and even organised a venue for us to watch a rugby World Cup match which was a great bonus. The place itself was like an oasis behind the tall wooden doors on the quiet village square. A beautiful building with so many facilities onsite, including a pool, bar, restaurant, solarium on the roof with a jacuzzi. A lower level spa room and gym facilities available. We got to make our own pasta then eat it in the restaurant later on in the evening which was great fun. A relaxing experience in a beautiful environment!

United KingdomDepending on wind, noise carried from nearby towns; market on Fridays was small and not very interesting. Need to drive outside town for things to see.
Beautiful palazzo complete with gym, restaurant, massages. Freshly made cakes every morning and espresso/wine honesty bar. Hotel able to organise boat trips and taxi at short notice.

United Kingdomnothing at all!
Lovely boutique jewel of a place which is a concealed paradise. The staff went beyond the helpfulness we expected - throughout our stay. My husband became sick (needed surgery urgently) and the staff were really lovely and even did not charge us when we had to cut our stay short - which we did not expect at all - so we will be back and sing their praise to anyone who might visit this area! Breakfast also nice, room amazing. Staff just exemplary

United KingdomA hidden gem. Lovely old palazzo in a small town that is close to the coast and a great base for exploring the region. Beautiful - outstanding breakfasts, honesty bar for wine and coffee the staff are all gorgeous and incredibly helpful- Francesca organised us wine tasting and transfers, a dinner reservation at local restaurant and Rosa was a patient pasta making tutor. Christina and Roberta also very warm and friendly- would highly recommend as an addition to puglia travels

United KingdomCan't say I can fault anything.
Converted palazzo in little town, slightly off the beaten track near Castro. Breakfast was included and a lovely local spread. The food was excellent & always a delicious cake, tart & homemade bread every morning. Especially loved the Torta della Nonna. We really enjoyed making pasta one day and having the fish BBQ too. The pool was lovely and rooms all centred around lovely garden and roof top places to sit and drink. Shout out to Francesca on reception and Pietro in the bar! Used the bicycles to roam around. Castro a 10 min drive away... perfect location. Easy to visit amazing beaches like Porto Miggiano or Bagno Marino Archi. Relaxed place & would definitely go back. Friendly.

United KingdomThere really was nothing that we didn't like, only that small negative of the slightly over-firm bed mentioned previously.
What a lovely place! Firstly, the welcome from Francesca was fantastic! What a very warm and helpful person. In fact, all the staff at Palazzo Guglielmo were excellent. The place is characterful with a great range of facilities e.g. pool, spa, bar and is really spacious such that there was always a range of choices of places to sit in the gardens or on the roof terraces. Our room was so big and spacious! It was beautifully done and very clean. The only small negative was that we felt that the bed was a little too firm. We found Vingacastrisi to be a charming, sleepy sort of place. The staff in the pizza takeaway were friendly and helpful and the nearby gelateria served lovely ice cream. Okay, it's not right on the coast with views out to sea, but there are so many beaches within a short distance, the nearest of which, Castro, is less than 10 minutes by bicycle. Talking of which, Guglielmo offers the loan of a selection of bikes free of charge, and better still it cost just €3 to have an e-bike for half a day, which made the cycle back uphill from Castro an absolute breeze! We loved the breakfast area and there was an exceptional choice of food.

SpainThe bed was short and the pillows of very bad quality (not comfortable at all) for this level of accommodation. Our room was big and the air-condition was not strong enough to cover the surface so unfortunately it was too warm in the room. the windows were also giving on the main street and square of the town so it was way too loud, and also we could hear the entrance door of the Palazzo all the time, so for all that we never had a good sleep during our stay which is really unfortunate cause the place is great.
The place is beautiful inside and out, with a lot of amazing facilities like swimming pool, rooftop jacuzzi, spa, ping-pong. You can also use bikes and book some other activities like cooking class. The staff is very, very nice and flexible. The proximity of Castro is great. The breakfast was very good as well.
